Job Scope: Rigging Technician – Mediapro AV Pte. Ltd.

The Rigging Technician is responsible for the safe setup, operation, and dismantling of rigging systems used for audio-visual equipment, lighting, staging, and other event-related structures. This role requires technical expertise in rigging, adherence to safety standards, and precision to ensure the stability and

reliability of event setups.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Rigging Setup and Operation:

◦ Install rigging equipment such as trusses, motors, hoists, and cables.

◦ Position and secure lighting, audio, video, and stage equipment as per event requirements.

◦ Operate rigging systems during event setups, rehearsals, and live productions.

2. Safety and Compliance:

◦ Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during rigging operations.

◦ Conduct risk assessments and ensure equipment is used within safe working limits.

◦ Perform pre-event safety checks on rigging structures and equipment.

3. Maintenance and Inspections:

◦ Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of rigging equipment.

◦ Identify and address wear and tear or potential failures in rigging gear.

◦ Keep accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and certifications.

4. Technical Collaboration:

◦ Work with lighting, audio, video, and staging teams to integrate rigging into event designs.

◦ Provide technical guidance on load distribution and weight limits for equipment.

◦ Assist in troubleshooting and resolving rigging-related issues during events.

5. Dismantling and Storage:

◦ Safely dismantle rigging systems after events and ensure proper storage of equipment.

◦ Ensure all rigging gear is accounted for and returned to inventory after use.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

◦ Maintain logs of rigging setups, equipment used, and safety checks performed.

◦ Report any incidents, equipment damage, or near misses to management.

◦ Suggest improvements for rigging procedures and equipment upgrades.

This role is critical for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of AV setups at Mediapro AV Pte. Ltd., contributing to the seamless execution of events and productions.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams with setting up test equipment for production and engineering.
• Manage sustaining of test and backend equipment (ATE, Bench, Handlers, Thermostream, Laser Mark, etc.).
• Perform test program correlations and reject verifications.
• Prepare and load test hardware for remote testing, including sanity checks.
• Conduct characterization or sample screening as per internal team requests.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher Nitec in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, IT, Biochemical, Mechanical, Computer, or Architecture Engineering.
• Experience with HTOL support and ATE testers (Advantest 93K is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with test equipment (Handlers, Probers, Thermostream, etc.).
• Experience in semiconductor test facilities or production/engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Flexible to work staggered or night shifts as required.

• Experience: 1-3 years in AVL operations.
• Skills: Proficiency in AVL equipment, strong leadership, and excellent communication.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, weekdays, weekends, eve of public holidays and public holidays alike.

About the role:

Kitchen Technician

The Kitchen Technician is responsible for managing all technical maintenance needs within the hotel's F&B outlets and kitchen areas. This role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with the Restaurant, Bar, and Culinary teams to ensure seamless operations.

What you will do:

• Perform service, repairs, and troubleshooting for HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment within F&B areas.
• Conduct routine maintenance on kitchen machinery and fixtures, including lighting, gas burners, cold room condensers & non-portable M&E equipment.
• Ability to install or relocate any addition or existing equipment when necessary, such as replacing/repairing bearings, gears, belts, shafts, springs, control mechanism, heat element, motors and associated equipment in the kitchen etc.
• Log maintenance activities, respond to HotSOS work orders, and coordinate with external vendors when needed.
• Handle emergencies and implement Fire, Life, and Work Safety procedures across all F&B areas.
• Report all incidents immediately, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

What you bring

• Preferably a NITEC in Mechanical/Electrical/Building/Facilities Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year as Kitchen Technician with hands-on experience, preferably in a hospitality or facilities-related field, will be an added advantage
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, or HVAC systems in a hotel or similar environment is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments.
• Strong commitment to safety and following operational procedures.
