Responsibilities:
· Accurately interpret drawings and specifications, and measures / calculates the quantities required by the project
· Prepare Bills of Quantities
· Obtained quotations and do up evaluation for quotations
· Prepare the sub-contract/purchasing document for review & approval
· Prepare and submit monthly progress claim to Architect/Client
· Compute variation order claim and prepare the final accounts for settlement with client/consultant
· Prepare final accounts of sub-contract work
· Prepare progress payment certificates for sub-contractors
· Works closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, Client / Client Representatives and Sub-Contractors to accurately arrive with progress claims and variation claims;
· Responsible for preparation of Works Order, Contractual Agreement and Payment Certificates;
· Deals with contractual issues between main contractor and client, and those between main contractor and sub-contractors
· Ensures progressive claims are promptly put up to the client through accurate measurement of actual works accomplished
· Ensures claims of sub-contractors are carefully verified and endorsed against accomplished site works
· Other adhoc duties as assigned by Contracts Manager
Requirement:
· Degree/ Diploma in Quantity Surveyor or related to Building
· At least 3 years of working experience in Main Contractor company preferred
· Be able to work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
