• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
• Bilingual in English & Mandarin in order to communicate with Chinese speaking counterparts.

Job Description:

• assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies;
• perform risk, value management and cost control;
• advise on a procurement strategy;
• identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks;
• price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project;
• Involve in tender preparation and participation, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation;
• track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly;
• procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project;
• measure and value the work done on site;
• undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
• liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers;
• select and/or source construction materials;
• allocate work to subcontractors;
• provide advice on contractual claims;
• analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports;
• value completed work and arrange payments;
• maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
• understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
• Responsible for all works related Quantity surveyor duties
• Able to prepare cost estimation, quantity take off and cost evaluation
• Responsible for Progress claim. VO & Finalisation of accounts and subcon progress claim
• Other ad hoc duties assigned

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil), Quantity Survey, Building Construction or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant working experience.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word & Powerpoint.
• Have a practical and logical mind and a methodical way of thinking;
• a creative and innovative approach to problem solving;
• strong numeracy and financial management skills and the ability to learn sophisticated design and costing IT packages;
• the ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people;
• negotiation and team work skills and the ability to motivate and lead those on site;
• detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters.
