Job Description

• Handling pre- and post-contract administration
• Check for Tender opportunities/attend tender briefing and site showground
• Quantity take off/Evaluation of Tender/analyse costings/ prepare tender doc for submission through Gebiz, and or hardcopy
• Carry out contract administration duties/source out and prepare PO to sub-cons/suppliers
• Submission of progress reports and claims/settlement of final accounts with clients, subcons and suppliers
• Attend meetings and monitor the progress of site works
• Any duties as assigned from time to time

Requirements

• B.Sc / Diploma (Building/QS) or equivalent
• 2 or 3 years of related experience in Civil Engineering environment such as road, earth and external works.

1. Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring assigned projects works.

2. Coordination with clients, consultants, authorites, project team and sub-contractor for site work progress.

3. Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status.

4. Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment.

5. Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.

6. Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards and specifications.

(1) Experience in M&E QS scope of works and had participated in tender projects of more than $2 Mil

(2) Good Communication Skill and a Good Team Player

(3) At Least 3-4 years of experience in M&E field of works

(4) Resourceful and Outcome-based attitudes to explore any new arisings

(5) Experience in Project Tender Documentation and Submission requriement

(6) Require to attend Tender Site Show-arounds and Project Meetings with Project Director/Manager

Job Description

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects

- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

- Draft and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

- Conduct value engineering analyses to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.

- Conduct site visits as needed to monitor progress, assess work quality, and ensure compliance with project specifications.

- Prepare regular cost reports, highlighting variances and forecasting future expenses.

- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and sub-contractors to provide updates and resolve issues.

- Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

- Prepare and finalize project accounts, ensuring accurate documentation and settlement of all financial matters.

- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract law, and project management principles.

- Ability to analyse financial data and make informed decisions.

- Develop and implement procurement strategies, including sourcing materials and services.

- Assess and manage changes to project scope, budget, and timelines, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.

- Utilize construction management software and tools for cost estimation, budgeting, and project tracking. (If necessary)

- Ensure all activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

- Work closely with engineers, project managers and project director to ensure alignment on project goals and financial targets.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions quickly.

Requirements

- At least five (5) years of experience with Recognised Degree in building, quantity surveying or professional qualification.

- Experienced in contract administration of rail or civil engineering projects

• Familiar with evaluation of tenders, preparation of tender and quotation.

• Responsible for taking off measurement and monthly progress claim.

• Ability to source for supplies and sub-contractors for quotation for tendering.

• Project administration and documentation include preparation of interim.

• Review and advise the Project Manager on the cost impact for variation of project specification.

• Minimum Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

• A minimum of 2 years work experience in structural steel works is necessary for this position.
