Responsibilities:

- The Land Surveyor is reporting to the Managers/Engineers.

- Knowledge in using CAD and surveying instruments.

- Carry out land and engineering surveys required for the construction projects, site boundaries or land titles, setting out etc.

- Work closely with registered land surveyors, authorities, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure project alignment.

- Prepare the topographic, geodetic, photogrammetric and dilapidation surveys and reports.

- Familiar with Authorities requirement and update changes where necessary.

Requirements:

- Graduate with educational qualifications recognized by Land Surveyors Board (LSB).

- Min. 3 years practical survey work experience under the supervision of a registered land surveyor.

The Quantity Surveyor will report to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and assists in all costs and contractual issues in Main Contract as well as Sub-Contracts connected to the project.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Ensure accurate measurement of quantities to assist in the preparation of progress payment claims, variation order claims and payments to subcontractors and suppliers including all final accounts.

• Involve in preparing regular cost reports including maintenance budget cost controls.

• Assist in maintaining good documentation of events at site for variation order I EOT claims.

• Assist in the procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers of specified materials.

• Attend technical meetings to keep abreast of design development issues and provide cost escalation alerts.

• Learn and be adequately briefed on the contractual I legal rights of the Main Contractor in order to advise colleagues at site and the management on any choke points during the project.

• Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.

To assess and identify variation order (VO) work for all subcontract packages

· To provide support in terms of measurement and pricing on the Mechanical / Electrical contract's VO claim

· To process monthly progress claim and final claim

· To attend to all relevant contracts administration and documentation for the project

· To take off measurement: re-measurement for sub-contract

· To work out cost estimation or budgetary cost on Mechanical / Electrical services

· To liaise with Consultants/ Main Contractors on VO and progress claims

· To liaise with suppliers for quotations

· To maintain relevant documentation in an orderly and proper manner

(A) Essential Job Functions:

The Resident Surveyor is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Set out tertiary control points on site set out by Registered Surveyor.
• Ensure the road design parameters and statutory ser back requirement of any work area is complied with requirements.
• To check and set out the correct alignment for the reinstatement works making sure that no contentious issues regarding encroachment shall arise.
• To coordinate with LTA and adjacent contractors to ensure that survey controls and alignment match between contracts.
• To produce survey drawings and maintaining records of all survey results.
• Control all survey instruments and ensure that the instruments are calibrated regularly and maintain all EDM calibration records. Such calibrations are to be carried out at LTA’s designated calibration base.
• Responsible for providing accurate survey data.
• Any ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor.

(B) Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:

• Diploma in Land Surveying and with 8 years of working experience relevant to the scope of works of Contract.
• A registered Surveyor under Land Surveyors Act (issued with a certification of registration).
• Experience in LTA project, or similar scale, complexity and nature of work will be advantages.
• Working location at Project site office.

(C) Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

• Familiar with documentation procedures.
• Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyse and synthesize complex issues quicky and provide counter measures to settle issue.
