Job Summary
We are looking for a Contracts Executive to assist in managing and overseeing contractual agreements for construction projects. The successful candidate will support the Contracts Manager in ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations and contribute to the negotiation and administration of contracts, addressing issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contract documents, including terms and conditions.
- Support the Contracts Manager in ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
- Maintain thorough documentation of contracts, correspondence, and issues related to projects.
- Conduct research and analysis on contract-related matters, providing recommendations as needed.
- Monitor project progress and assist in evaluating project performance against contractual terms.
- Help to address and resolve disputes related to contracts, working collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit reports on contract status, variation orders, claims, and other relevant updates.
- Attend meetings with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to facilitate communication and contract understanding.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior team members on contract management processes.
- Any other related tasks assigned by the Contracts Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Prior experience in contract management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and legal requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
