Responsible for supervising an accounting team in maintaining the books of a subsidiary, as follows:

Accounts Receivables

· Ensure that invoices are billed to customers in a timely and accurate manner, as well as in accordance with the

Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and company policies.

· Ensure that GST is applied correctly to the invoices and outgoing recharges

· Check accuracy of data entries

· Monitor monthly bad debt provision amount and propose write-off when required

· Supervise month end closing of AR ledger

Accounts Payable

· Process/review suppliers’ invoices and staff claims (ensure proper supporting documents/approval in accordance

with company policies and accuracy of data entries)

· Supervise the monthly closing of AP ledger including preparation of relevant AP journals

· Prepare expense reports and analysis of accounts

· Review monthly reconciliation of AP relevant GLs and statement of accounts

Financial and management reporting

· Assist in the monthly close and timely preparation of financial reports, head office reports, budgets/forecasts,

performance management reports as well as variance analysis. This includes hands-on tasks such as

preparing/checking of accounting entries and supporting documents.

· Prepare/review audit schedules, intercompany and bank reconciliations

· Support the development of business plans, forecasts and risk analysis and communicate business information

effectively to business owners

· Develop, update and enhance data dashboards to provide timely insights as required by the business owners

· Assist in the timely preparation of financial statements and tax returns in compliance with FRS, Company’s Act

and tax regulations

· Review and submit GST and withholding tax returns

Infinitus Law Corporation is a boutique full-service local law corporation. We are seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to join us in our high performance and collegiate environment. You will report directly to the Head of Litigation in the Litigation Department.

RESPONSIBLITIES

Your day-to-day responsibilities include the following:

• Manage compliance and administrative matters, like client due diligence, conflicts checks, preparing and sending a warrant to act
• Draft correspondence
• Prepare bills
• Attend meetings and take down minutes and action points
• Proactively monitor and follow up on outstanding matters
• Undertake simple legal research
• Conduct searches
• Generate first drafts of documents such as originating claims, originating applications and other cause papers
• Format and proofread documents
• Liaise with clients in relation to any general enquiries if instructed.
• Handle E-litigation and service of documents
• Provide administrative support like diary management, file management and application for membership of various professional bodies.

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 10 years’ experience who can work independently and as a team member, manage a complex and demanding workload, prioritise tasks and projects to meet work standards and timelines as well as communicate clearly and effectively legal matters both verbally and in writing.

Overview

He/She will provide efficient and timely legal support to all business functions within the Company Group. The Legal Counsel is based in Singapore and supports primarily the Singapore businesses but some regional support in China, Australia and Indonesia may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

1.Legal

• Drafting, vetting and negotiation of various agreements including dealer/ distributor agreements, bank facility and security documents, tenders, procurement contracts or service agreements with vendor / suppliers, tenancy agreements etc.

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, rules, regulations and guidelines.

• Highlight potential risks and provide recommendations to limit exposure.

• Advice and manage disputes/litigation.

• Administration of Group’s intellectual property and proprietary information.

• Drafting and review of corporate documents such as shareholder and board resolutions.

• Manage external legal counsel

2.Contracts and Compliance

• Track/administer key agreements with principals

• Formulate and develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance of Company Group entities with applicable laws/regulations and directives of Company Group HQ

• Conduct training of policies and procedures for staff such as personal data protection, anti-money laundering, code of business conduct and ethics etc.

• Monitor and audit compliance of policies and procedures

3.Protection/Management of Intellectual Property/Data

• Protection and administration of the Group’s intellectual property, proprietary information and personal data

4.Any other suitable duties as assigned by Management

Job Requirements

• Good law degree from NUS or SMU or recognized overseas law degrees from United Kingdom and called to the Singapore Bar

• 6 to 8 years PQE and in-house legal counsel experience

• Strong corporate and commercial background; experience in automotive or retail sectors would be an advantage

• Ability to work efficiently and independently, good team player and business partner

• Commercially savvy, able to apply knowledge of Group’s business and operations to provide value added legal advice and highlight risks

• Good communicator with strong interpersonal and time management skills

• Able to handle a broad spectrum of practice areas including banking and finance, corporate commercial work, consumer and data protection, franchising, compliance matters and disputes
