RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a part-time Legal Counsel who can provide expertise based on the needs of the organization. In this role, you will commit to about 15 hours per month, with the ability to adjust your schedule depending on the volume and urgency of legal requests. This flexible arrangement allows you to contribute strategically to our compliance, governance, and risk management efforts while working in a way that aligns with your availability.

In this role, you will offer strategic legal guidance on various organisational matters, mitigating risks and safeguarding our interests in upcoming initiatives and partnerships. Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on various agreements, contracts, and legal documents
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts for services, engagement letters, and other business agreements

Responsibilities:

Role

You should be an experienced, broadly capable project and communications manager or director with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a PR agency or in-house, able to handle a wide range of assignments, projects and/or clients with a high degree of success and independence. You have the confidence and support of multiple client contacts.

You are able to demonstrate high-level professional knowledge and skills, and should be able to manage a piece of a large account or a few smaller ones, with little top cover from your team leader.

Account Management

The Special Legal Projects Officer (“SLPO”) is the principal support staff for the Executive Director of the Law Society and will report directly to the Executive Director. Incident Specific

• Manages PDPA-related incidents and complaints in an appropriate and timely manner in accordance with the PDPA Incident Response Framework.
• Escalates personal data risk alerts, major PDPA complaints and programme implementation issues to DPO and Deputy DPO for deliberation and decision.
• Works with other stakeholders such as the Cyber and IT departments to implement remediations and mitigation controls.

Education & Certification

• LLB with minimum of 3 years PQE or equivalent.; Certified Information Privacy Professional.

Experience

• Has worked as a legal counsel advising on personal data protection compliance and legal issues at a customer facing organisation in Singapore or outside Singapore or in the alternative, has worked as an external lawyer in a law firm advising on personal data protection compliance and legal issues.

The Legal Director, ASEAN is responsible for managing all legal affairs within the ASEAN region, comprising Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and IndoChina, Indonesia and Philippines, and related factories. Responsibilities:
