• Take on a commercial perspective regarding go-to-market for transiting R&D topics to commercial offerings

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s degree in Law (LL.M or equivalent).
• Fluency in Business English & Business Chinese (verbal and written) is mandatory in order to communicate with stakeholders & business clients in China.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in corporate law, specializing in PE, VC and M&A, or even in the financial sector.s.
• Experience working with international clients or multinational corporations is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional contract negotiation and drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams.

As a Legal Counsel, you provide legal support to drive the regional commercial strategy with a focus on digital and physical store portfolio of H&M Group across Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam.

Key responsibilities

• Be a competent legal advisor supporting H&M’s digital and physical store expansion in the region. Proactively advise on legal issues/disputes related to expansion and/or consolidation and manage responses in relation to contentious matters. 
• Review, draft and negotiate lease/tenancy agreements for H&M stores including legal documents related to construction and facilities from a pro-business perspective with minimal risk exposure to H&M. Assist in research and analysis on legal issues with cross-border element in business/ consumer laws and other laws relevant for the industry. Provide contractual and regulatory legal advice on marketplace and partnership opportunities for online projects
• Be a reliable business partner for the HR team, providing legal and regulatory guidance on employment matters and labor laws in the region.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external counsel on advice or investigations relating to a variety of regulatory queries. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Head of Legal & PA to provide overall legal support for projects, disputes and strategic initiatives. Support data privacy team with regulatory guidance

Responsibilities:

- Design and implement integration solutions for various physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, video analytics and alarm systems

- Ability to understand and address customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions

- Collaborate with product teams to address specific customer needs and feedback

- Design and propose security technology solutions tailored to different verticals

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project scope

- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine integration needs and best practices

- Conduct POC, demo, testing and setup of security system and video analytics

- Manage and execute projects with strong project management skills

- Develop documentation, including system specifications, integration plans, and user manuals

- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to physical security

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject

- Programming skills in Python, C++ and/or Javascript

- Fullstack experience is strongly preferred

- Strong understanding of networking, database management, and software integration

- Familiarity with industry standards and protocols (e.g., ONVIF, BACnet, etc.)

Nice to have:

- Professional experience working with VMS systems and integrating 3rd party solutions

- B2B (Business-to-Business) experience in physical security

- Technical security system certifications (I.e., Gallagher, Genetec, BICSI, Milestone) and/or related IT (i.e., CCNA) certifications preferred

- Possess market knowledge in physical security industry for verticals ie. transportation, commercial building, hospitality, etc.
