Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Supply Chain, the Travel Security & Travel Manager will become a member of a high performing procurement team responsible for supporting the strategic sourcing needs of the enterprise. The role will contribute to the profitability of PACS and generate positive return on investment for the Enterprise Supply Chain function.
The Travel Security role will oversee Travel Security Standards, which require business & incentive travel to be approved, risk assessed and tracked under the Group’s Travel Security and Medical Assistance program, ensuring travellers receive appropriate advice to reduce exposure to known or emerging travel security risks. This role will also manage the administration of corporate travel insurance applicable to both business and incentive travellers.
As Travel Manager, this role will also be responsible for the management and optimization of the travel & events category, including air, overseas and local accommodation, and will execute initiatives that deliver cost savings, demand management and innovation initiatives. This role is responsible to partner across the organization to define requirements for sourcing needs and establish sourcing and negotiation strategies for the travel category, support contract review and ensure third party risks are being assessed as part of pre-onboarding due diligence when onboarding a new third party, contracting or contract renewal. As part of travel category management, this role will share category progress reports, implement and manage supplier relationship management programs.
With increasing focus on Sustainability agenda in PACS, the role will contribute towards embedding the discipline of sustainability in our supply chain and will work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive the sustainability agenda.
Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of organisation policies and procedures, including the Group Third Party Supply & Outsourcing Procedures, PACS Procurement and Third Party Management Procedures, Outsourcing Management Procedures and related third party policies and procedures, to ensure policy requirements are understood, adhered to and documented while performing sourcing and vendor selection, contracting and due diligence activities.
- Lead the Travel sub-category for PACS, including:Establish strong relationships with internal business partners and build a strong understanding of business strategies and priorities
Partner with business stakeholders including contract owners and contract managers to execute category specific strategies and supplier management program for key vendors.
Provide travel category management oversight and ensure PACS travel requirements are represented in Group negotiations with hotels, airlines
Manage service level performance of travel service providers such as corporate travel agency, airlines and hotel partners
Track and report savings (Air, Travel Insurance, Hotels)
- As Travel Security Manager:Act as the point of contact for Group Security on matters of travel security.
Liaise with PACS travel management companies to ensure they are utilising approved service providers and enforcing authorisation and travel security policies effectively.
Notify Group Security of any travel to high security risk areas and above.
Ensure that travellers are advised of any destination risks they are travelling to
Set up a framework to risk assess staff group travel and incentive travel and ensure that concentration risk is being managed
Provide group travel information to Group Security in a timely manner
Manage the Travel Insurance Policy and be the point of contact for any claims process
Maintain an updated listing of all travellers (both Corporate and FCs) of the locations (including hotel locations)
Develop and maintain travel emergency protocols
Work with teams managing Group Travel for Agency or Corporate to ensure compliance to policy and that trips are properly risk assessed
Manage and monitor all emergency incidents and report to Group Security and Resilience Team
Who we are looking for:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in tourism, travel, hospitality, business or communications is preferred
Work Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of previous travel management or procurement experience
- Good understanding of the travel industry, procurement and supply chain
- Ability to influence purchasing decisions and effectively negotiate deals
- Ability to foster good working relationship with internal and external teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High integrity and ethics.

- Ability to function in a past-faced environment and work independently, with limited supervision
- Ability to think strategically and tactically to ensure recommendations are appropriate and realistic

- Data visualization skills e.g. Power BI is a plus
