Key Responsibilities:
Access Control:
- Monitor entry and exit points, checking resident/migrant workers IDs and visitor passes.
- Operate security systems such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems.
- Maintain accurate logs of all entries and exits.
Patrolling:
- Conduct regular patrols of the dormitory premises, including all floors, common areas, and surrounding grounds.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies.
Incident Response:
- Respond to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other incidents according to established procedures.
- Assist in fire drills, evacuations and provide first aid when necessary.
- Prepare incident reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors and relevant agencies
Safety and Security Measures:
- Conduct regular safety checks of fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and other safety equipment.
- Implement and enforce dormitory rules and regulations.
- Maintain a vigilant and alert presence to deter crime.
Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with residents, staff, and other security personnel.
- Clearly and concisely communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors.
Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Security Personnel License issued by the Singapore Police Force.
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a Security Guard, preferably in a similar environment (dormitory, industrial estate).
- Basic knowledge of first aid and fire safety procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to perform duties that may require standing or walking for extended periods.
- Able to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

- Employee may be expected to perform other duties as assigned.
- Conducting regular fire safety inspections.
- Assisting in fire drills and evacuations.
- Maintaining familiarity with fire escape routes and emergency procedures.
