Requirements :
- Degree in Law or its equivalent
- Min. 5 years working experience, preferably in construction industry.
- Knowledgeable in International Construction contract (FIDIC) and specialized in international arbitration including SIAC and ICC.
- Knowledgeable in structuring various types of company models including but not limited to joint ventures, public private partnership, LLP and LLC.
- Knowledge of project management principles will be an advantage.
- Have handled large-scale infrastructure, Building, and Plant projects.
- Well organized, timely in the delivery of work and able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, with Mandarin as a second language (to handle our Chinese counterparts, subcons, vendors, etc).
- Singaporean or Singapore PR preferred
Responsibilities :
- Advise senior management and cross-functional project teams with regard to potential legal risks and compliance with applicable laws.
- Provide legal advice on infrastructure, construction and development projects; from pre-contractual stage to structuring joint-ventures/acquisitions/divestments.
- Provide legal advice on commercial and employment law activities including the formation of new entities, corporate law, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Support the Contracts Teams in reviewing, drafting and negotiating all commercial agreements which includes, but not limited to, NDA, MOU, Subcontracts, Purchase Agreements, Construction Contracts and also to coordinate with the global head office in carrying out corporate legal function.
- Liaise with and manage external law firms and advisors.
- Provide timely legal analysis and advice on prosecution or defense of contractual disputes.
- Represent company before administrative or quasi-judicial government agencies.
