ISDA Specialist/ Legal Counsel,5-7Yrs
A highly respected firm is seeking an experienced ISDA Negotiator/Legal Counsel to join its team. The successful candidate will be the point person for all ISDA matters for the firm by overseeing, negotiating, drafting, and reviewing ISDA agreements and related documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will lead ISDA negotiations, ensuring precise and accurate documentation throughout the process. They will provide expertise on financial markets, derivatives, and regulatory frameworks, with a specialization in power and carbon emissions trading. Serving as the primary point of contact for counterparties during negotiations, the candidate will also collaborate with internal departments to streamline the process and enhance efficiency. Additionally, they will build and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel, counterparties, and other key stakeholders to support successful outcomes.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ISDA negotiations and documentation, with a strong understanding of financial markets and legal frameworks.
A bachelor’s degree in law and an equivalent legal qualification, is highly desirable. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in negotiating ISDA agreements and related documentation, along with an in-depth understanding of general contract law, derivatives, and financial markets. Experience in a legal or compliance role within a financial institution or commodity trading company is also preferred.
