The successful incumbent will Assistant Director, Operations / Lead Reintegration Mentor in ensuring the smooth running of the daily operations at Selarang Halfway House (SHWH) or future new site at Cosford and is responsible for the safety and welfare of the residents and the overall security of the Halfway House premises. They will work closely with the SHWH Case Managers to aid residents with their reintegration back to society.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Oversee security screening to ensure contrabands are not brought into the house.

2. Facilitate the daily operational routine of SHWH or future new site:

a) Ensure the day-to-day needs of the residents and operational requirements of the halfway house are being met.

b) Facilitate the process of residents checking in and out of the halfway house on a daily basis and provide daily updates on the headcount and other activities/incidents (if any) throughout the tour of duty. Any unusual movements should be highlighted and reported to the relevant parties.

c) To ensure that there is seamless transition during the handing and taking over of shift duties. The jobholder is also responsible in ensuring that all outstanding matters have been clearly communicated to the next duty personnel and are promptly followed up with.

d) Provide logistical support to residents during their stay in SHWH or future new site. To assist occasionally with carrying & moving of bulky/heavy items.

e) Conduct patrols and searches in the SHWH Living Units to ensure the safety of residents.

3. Work closely with Case Managers in the case management of residents, including monitoring and maintaining proper records on the progress, movement, and other relevant information pertaining to the residents.

4. Assist in handling any grievance procedure and carrying out preliminary investigation of incidents and/or disciplinary issues (when assigned).

5. Identify any defect(s) or work(s) to be carried out pertaining to the halfway house’s estate management issues during daily tour of duty and to feedback to Singapore Prison Service Corporate Services Team for follow up.

Step into the role of Security Operations Analyst and contribute to maintaining a robust, secure digital environment through proactive monitoring and response.

As a Security Operations Analyst in the Cybersecurity and Tech Controls, SIEM Operations team, you play a role in safeguarding the firm's digital assets and infrastructure by monitoring, detecting, assessing, and responding to security incidents in real-time. You will apply your general knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and proactively mitigate potential risks. You will generate influence within your team and contribute to the effectiveness of your team's cybersecurity efforts. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the development of a coordinated approach to security and help educate employees on best practices, policies, and procedures for maintaining a secure digital environment.

Job responsibilities

• Conduct security research and stay up to date with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices to enhance the organization's security posture

• Perform log analysis, threat hunting, incident response, and vulnerability impact activities to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to the firm's digital assets

• Collect evidence from devices, systems, and data, extract relevant information and document initial findings, contributing to recommendations for further investigation or remediation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement coordinated security measures, policies, and procedures that align with the firm's objectives

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and at least 1 year of applied experience in cybersecurity operations, network security, or a related field

• Baseline knowledge of cybersecurity operations, security monitoring, incident response, or vulnerability assessment

• Emerging proficiency in scripting for automating tasks and enhancing efficiency

• Foundational understanding of network protocols, security architecture, design principles, and common vulnerability and exposures (CVE) to effectively safeguard digital assets

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience with crafting regular expressions (regex)

• Experience reviewing vulnerabilities and the effectiveness of the mitigatory measures

• Possess a basic understanding of cloud architecture and an understanding of how attackers leverage these platforms

• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, and JavaScript and understanding how scripting languages are used in a cybersecurity context

• Possess the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities

Requirements:

• Degree in Cyber Security or related field or attained Cyber Security professional qualification (e.g. CISSP or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in in cyber security domain with relevant experience on security governance, design and architecture.
• Experienced in turn-key development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale, multi-platform, multi-vendor systems in the IT and engineering domain.
• Familiar with typical enterprise security solutions, such as Endpoint Security, Identity & Access Control solutions, Network Security, Analytics solutions, Data Loss Prevention or Vulnerability and Compliance.
• Familiar with the conduct of a typical project lifecycle in terms of the various milestones and deliverables.
• Sound understanding of network and server infrastructure.
• Good presentation skills, communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills and customerservice orientation.
• Hands on, self-directed executive who plans, prepares and executes professionally along with management of tight deadlines
