Regional Security - General framework

As a regional representative from Corporate Security Directorate, the Regional Security Advisor ensures the proper consideration of security measures for people, assets and information in Naval Group’s countries of interest in South-East Asia. The scope of activities covers prospection and deployment phases, support to the subsidiaries and Naval Group representative offices. The incumbent also has the ability to advise Joint-Ventures on safety concerns, on demand from local management.

Main responsibilities

Ensures coherence in the security measures in the region:

• Supervises, closely with the security network, the awareness program of the teams onsite
• Communicates to the local teams the security standards and requirements, while also supporting their implementation
• Controls their implementation (build) and execution (run)
• Ensures that incidents reporting process and business continuity plan (BCP) are in place and operational
• Advise to hold security audits and to follow the associated action plans
• Contributes to new establishment projects in the region (threat evaluation, choice of office location and hotels)
• Strengthen local processes (in particular in case of peak period and crisis management), upon agreement from local management
• Sets up and maintains relationship with local French diplomatic representatives.

Animates the Security network:

• Animates the local security correspondents’ network in coordination with their hierarchical managers, he can provide advices to their recruitment and contribute to their evaluation (professional interviews)
• Ensures coherence in the activities of the security and IT security duo
• Organises analysis and feedback from locally collected information, to the Corporate’s benefit.

Actions are part of the International Security Branch:

• Managed by the international security director (ISD) who determines the work schedule based on security and business priorities and in relation with the concerned authorities (subsidiaries’ directors, program directors or delegates)
• Reports on a weekly basis to the international security director and to the designated correspondents
• Ensures that the international security director is consulted and involved in the security managers’ recruitment process

- Inform relevant members and departments of threats and advise of remediation and mitigation

- Coordinate and follow up with all relevant members and departments to collect data and evidences, to ensure completion of remediation and mitgation

- Document all security incidents with records of assessment, investigation, remediation and mitigation

- Maintain playbooks and guide other departments on contributing to them

- Lead and participate actively in security incident response effort

- Lead and participate actively in post-incident reviews to evaluate response effectiveness and recommend improvements

Job Requirements

• Strong knowledge of information security principles, incident response methodologies, network protocols, logging/detection/response tools (e.g. SIEM, EDR, XDR)
• Proficient in network communications, log analysis, scripting

• Preferably has experience working with cross-geographical teams
• 1-3 years of experience as a Security Operations Analyst or similar role

Primary Responsibilities:

Provision of Security

• The primary role of a Security Officer is to protect life and property against pandemic crisis, theft, vandalism, misappropriation, fire, flood or similar disaster on assigned shift in compliance with government, corporate and management directives.
• Conducting routine patrols with his teams, looking out for suspicious persons, fires, mischiefs or safety hazards.
• Ensure the physical safety of the property by checking that all doors, windows, lights, equipment, locks and emergency equipment are locked to prevent any unlawful entry and responds to any distress calls and alarms.
• Ensure all the fire alarm and security systems, such as main fire alarm/ sub alarm panel, public address system, closed-circuit television (CCTV), and panic alarm, lightings are working properly and reports of any breakdown or defect of the systems to the management.
• To assist guests and associates for their requests for security assistance and to follow-up with the necessary

Writing and Submitting Reports

• Conduct investigations of any incident from reports from subordinates and takes any follow up actions and submission of comprehensive reports to management of any findings.

Maintaining Law and Order

• Conducting an investigation of any suspicious activities that take place within the premises.

1) Process Support:

- Keep up to date with latest procedures, forms and templates

- Assist to raise requests, complete forms, obtain approvals, etc. as required by process

- Track timeline and actions according to plan

- Coordinate and follow up to meet timelines

- Organize and file documents

2) Department Asset Inventory Management:

- Document purchases

- Regularly report expiries in advance and expenses against budget

3) Department Budget Record:

- Populate budget items

- Document submitted and approved budget

- Document allocation method and allocation

4) Department Initiative/Program/Project Tracking:

- Document all initiatives, programs, projects

- Record status in regular department meetings

5) Department Visitor Management:

- Manage access and refreshment if required

- Receive and bring visitors to meeting area

6) Department Communication Management:

- Regularly check department mailboxes, emails, tickets to ensure timely response

- Coordinate and schedule department meetings

- Manage and distribute Work From Home/Office schedule

7) Department Reporting:

- Assist in compiling committee and board reports

- Note and remind presenters of reporting schedules

8) Process Improvement:

Constantly look to enhance current process with better tools or methods

Job Requirement

  i. $3,700 to $4,400 (armed)
  ii. $2,700 to $3,300 (unarmed)
