• Machine Scrub and polish floor
• Clean all fixtures, mirrors, glasses, planters, ashtrays etc
• Collect and deliver soiled and clean linen to the floor pantries
• Report broken fixtures, equipments and furnitures immediately
• Attend to rest rooms as assigned and clean function rooms
• Collect cleaning and guest supplies from store
• Clean and maintain the working tools, equipments and machineries

About the job

Working closely with the Safety & Security team, co-workers and steering team to provide safety & security support in securing compliance with established internal / external guidelines, assist in ensuring that we continue to operate within IKEA intended level to achieve a positive risk culture that continues to grow.

Your assignment

• Oversee the overall operations of the Fire Command Centre within the retail units and ensure all related emergencies are attended and effectively dealt with in a timely manner.
• Support in the overall day to day management of the Fire Alarm Protection, Intrusion Detection, Electronic Access Control, CCTV surveillance and any other related systems.
• Monitor and implement crowd control / traffic management plan where required aligned to established procedures.
• Provide and maintain proper and legible records in respect of events, activities and occurrences.
• Assist in all responses as stipulated in the Store Emergency Management Plan to alarms, medical emergencies, fires and other similar matters, evacuating premises and contacting appropriate emergency services if required including administration of First Aid if required and notify appropriate stakeholders (Duty Manager, First Aider, ERT, etc.) in the event of accidents, emergencies, or other incidents until the arrival of the proper authorities.
• Responsible in identifying potential problems related to safety and security and ensure prompt reporting to the Safety & Security Team for resolution, including, but not limited to malfunction in facilities, evacuation routes obstructions, safety and health hazards in and around the premises, etc.
• Report any occurrences of accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions promptly to the Duty Manager and Safety & Security Team.
• Assist to carry out specific deployment tasks (Patrol, cash escort, checkout, loss prevention strategies, etc.) and ensure that all tasks are carried out effectively and promptly.
• Ensure all incidents are properly reported and escalated in the incident reporting system, ensuring proper documentation and follow up actions.
• Assist/participate in periodic safety & security systems testing and evacuation drills at established intervals.

Your profile

• Knowledge of life safety systems, fire equipment, physical security systems and safety & security operations
• Experience in Emergency response handling, Crowd and traffic management
• Trained first aider and Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) certification
• Possess good interpersonal skills and able to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Committed to perform shift work including weekends and on public holidays

Your Career

As the Senior Director of JAPAC Public Policy at Palo Alto Networks, you will spearhead the expansion and management of our policy and government affairs practice throughout the region. Your role involves developing and executing a robust public affairs strategy to enhance our engagement and relationships with institutions and government departments. You will engage in the development of strategic public policies, build/maintain influential relationships and help advance strategic business opportunities. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders in the region. The position will focus on all key markets in the region for Palo Alto Networks. 

The role is based in Singapore and will require occasional travel throughout the JAPAC region, as well as trips to our Santa Clara, CA headquarters and our Washington, D.C. offices, as needed.

Your Impact

• Expand and cultivate existing relationships while identifying new key officials, organisations, and stakeholders to elevate Palo Alto Networks' visibility in the cybersecurity and related tech policy communities.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for engagement, ensuring strategic positioning in the cybersecurity and tech policy landscape.
• Monitor and engage on current and emerging public policy issues, including cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, certifications, data flows, cloud, and privacy, and develop and execute strategies to engage on these policies in the company’s interest.
• Collaborate with Palo Alto Networks' public sector teams to facilitate business conversations with senior government officials, government CIOs, cybersecurity stakeholders, and purchasing influencers of government and other public sector organizations.
• Support the development and maintenance of strategic relationships within public sector organizations and institutions.
• Partner closely with the JAPAC legal and policy team members, as well as with  the U.S.-based Public Policy and Government Affairs team and Policy colleagues in EMEA to ensure consistent approaches and information sharing.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leadership in the region and support their efforts to increase company name recognition and operational relationships.
• Liaise internally with various corporate functions and geographic business leadership to provide timely public policy positions, insights, and written materials in relation to identified policy areas, related business initiatives, and government regulatory activities..
• Advise internal business leaders and work collaboratively with business units (including, marketing, communications, product management, sales, and others)  to ensure that Palo Alto Networks has the information needed to make strategic decisions with critical impact on the company’s business goals. 
• Help Palo Alto Networks continue to build our brand as a strategic partner to JAPAC policymakers  and as a thought leader in the cybersecurity arena.
• Present the company's policy positions through written papers, comments, meetings, conferences, and industry associations.
• Manage local representation (e.g., local lobbyists, trade and other business associations).
• Contribute to speeches and materials for senior executives, identifying thought leadership opportunities and operational partnerships.
• Travel regionally and, to a lesser extent, to corporate headquarters in Santa Clara, California and to Washington, D.C. as required.
