Responsibilities

1. Expected to lead various sizes of audit engagements which include planning, performing, reviewing of audit work performed by less experienced staff
2. To work closely with team members to execute the audit plan and ensures the timely completion of the audit engagement
3. To assist in-charge in obtaining all necessary audit working papers and documentation including researching and documenting facts and findings
4. To identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to managers and partners

Requirements

1. Candidcates must possess a recognized degree in accountancy or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, ISCA or CPA)
2. A minimum of 1 year relevant audit senior experience
3. Strong and analytical skills and has sound knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
4. Must be hardworking, responsible, reliable, resourceful and possess leadership qualities
5. Able to work under stress in a fast pace working environment
6. Able to speak and write good English
7. Proficient in MS word and excel

The Audit Partner will oversee our teams in Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam, managing a clientele that includes many established MNCs and listed companies, both locally and internationally.

Responsibilities:

Oversee full spectrum of assurance client portfolio, The ideal candidate is single minded in their pursuit of ensuring compliance, ethical and achieves this goal through optimizing reporting procedures and driving the successful function of the audit team.

• Manage a portfolio of assurance clients , developing new client relationship to ensure business growth.
• Responsible for audit engagements’ quality is in compliance with professional standards and requirements, delivery, and budget including control of billings and payment collection.
• Performance other non-audit assignment such as - IPO, financial due diligent, valuation, etc.
• Possesses and conformance with up-to-date technical knowledge on auditing, IT and accounting.
• Coach and develop people by sharing knowledge with team members and helping team members attain experiences that cultivate technical competences.
• Actively impart technical skills to team members through on-the-job training (OJT), constant check on performance of the team and tries to resolve any discrepancies, if any.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines.
• Ensure that auditing functions are completed in a professional manner and on the given time.
• Collaborate and communicate with the respective partners on client issue resolution and make recommendation for any legal, regulatory, and accounting issues that arise during an audit engagement.
• Conduct internal training for assurance and other departments on SSA, SSQM and FRS when required.

Requirements:

• Must possess a Practice Certificate and be registered as a Public Accountant with ACRA (Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority).
• Must hold the Chartered Accountant (CA Singapore) designation and be a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).
• Proven track record in auditing Singapore-listed companies, demonstrating deep knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.

The Role

This is a full time role for 6 months and will involve working with partners and other colleagues across the firm on high value, complex international arbitration cases. Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting research, reviewing documents, drafting advice, correspondence and pleadings, gathering evidence and assisting with the preparation of witness and expert evidence, in relation to such proceedings.
• Assisting with advising and representing clients in, and in relation to, commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration and public international law matters.
• Liaising with clients, witnesses and experts, tribunals, and opposing counsel.

Skills and Knowledge

Competitive candidates will be a recent LLM graduate or qualified junior lawyer in any jurisdiction, and will possess:

• An excellent academic background.
• Experience at some level of international arbitration ideally within a leading dispute resolution practice, chambers or other related organisation.
• Experience working on high value, complex international investment and/or commercial arbitration (highly desirable).
• A proven ability to understand and investigate complex technical matters and a desire to practice as a specialist arbitration lawyer.
• Full business proficiency in English; additional foreign language skills are highly desirable.
• The ability to write clearly and economically, to orally present a client’s case confidently, succinctly and persuasively, while maintaining accuracy and credibility with a tribunal.
• The ability to identify relevant lines of research, select appropriate sources and tools, and implement rapidly with appropriate levels of depth, care, and creativity.
• The ability to analyse complex legal and factual problems and to identify challenges and solutions to a client’s case, with a strong understanding of the substantive and procedural aspects of contract and treaty arbitration law and practice.
• The ability to manage competing demands and work effectively to meet deadlines using commercially sound management practices that serve the best interests of the firm and its clients, ensuring exceptional attentional to detail in all work.
