Job Scope:
- Lead a team of engineers in executing civil and structural engineering tasks during both front-end and detailed engineering phases.
- Assist the Discipline Manager with resource allocation and manpower planning for the civil portion of projects.
- Develop project specifications, design philosophies, and calculation templates that align with client and local authority requirements.
- Oversee man-hour tracking and project scheduling for the civil engineering team.
- Prepare foundation, structural, and hydraulic calculation sheets, ranging from simple to complex designs, in line with project specifications and criteria. Ensure accurate load calculations and member sizes for structures.
- Produce 3D models and design drawings for structures and foundations, including fabrication drawings.
- Provide clear and concise design instructions and information to designers, ensuring all data is technically sound and facilitates efficient workflow.
- Prepare anchor bolt and set bolt lists for client procurement, ensuring compliance with safety factors and client specifications.
- Review and verify design outputs for accuracy and completeness.
- Serve as Assistant Key Person for smaller or NIDC projects.
- Coordinate with other engineers and designers to streamline the production of civil design and drawing deliverables.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in plant engineering design and construction, particularly within the Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or industrial sectors.
- Proficiency in using computer software and peripherals for engineering tasks.
- Basic knowledge of STAAD, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
- Excellent communication, technical, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical data, contract reports, and instructions
