Job Summary

• Work closely with Centre Manager/ Mobile Medical Services Manager in the provision of frontline counter services to patients in medical centres or mobile medical services events.
• Assist patients to verify their service requirement, managing patient queues, handle enquiries and to provide administrative support to the Centre Manager and Resident Physician.

Job Description

Registration

• Responsible for reception of all appointment and walk-in patients at the medical centre or mobile medical services event.
• Responsible for accurate appointment scheduling / booking and registration for patients accurately via clinic system including updating of patient’s personal particulars such as email, mailing address and contact number.
• Ensure patients’ identifiers are verified for all patients when handling patient registration, which includes the verification of tests/procedures ordered by doctors.
• Ensure that relevant instructions are communicated effectively to patients prior to their tests/procedures.
• Ensure relevant Authorization Forms are filled in accurately with patients’ endorsement and approval.
• Ensure accurate application of promotions and discount vouchers appropriately and to validate its utilization via the clinic system.
• Adhere to policy and standard operating procedures.

Cashiering and Medical Records Management

• Responsible for payment collection when assigned to cashier duties and ensure tally of end-of day sales with cash settlement and other transaction records.Collect basic bio-data (e.g. visual acuity, near/distant, colour vision, wt, ht, BMI, etc.).
• Accurate and meticulous in performing cashiering duty when assigned.
• When assigned, to ensure the timely dispatching of medical reports, proper records and documentation of courier services in line with PDPA requirements.
• Tally and check end of day collection and supporting documents.

Service Excellence

• Ensure a high standard of professional service to clients, meeting customer service and quality KPIs as determined by the department.
• Proactively identify customer’s needs and sustain a culture of service excellence within the organisation.
• Work collaboratively and effectively with other teams within the medical centre and/or mobile medical services event to contribute to the performance of the team.
• Follow up and support reporting officer in handling patient relation issues.

Equipment, Supplies, and Maintenance

• Responsible for keeping inventory of office equipment and their maintenance, including ensuring there are sustainable supplies of stationery and other consumables.

Others

• Keep self-informed and up to date on product and services offered across the organisation.
• Attend training as assigned by Centre Manager/ Mobile Medical Services Manager
• Able to be deployed to other medical centres including supporting of Community Health Day and MMS events when necessary.
• Guides and if needed escorts patients to various stations as and when required.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Centre/ Mobile Services Manager.

Research Assistant for Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health

The Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is recruiting a full-time, experienced research assistant to model the impact and cost-effectiveness of contact-transmissible infectious diseases. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research, collaborate with a team of experts, and work on other infectious disease analyses.

Job scope:
• To undertake high-quality research, including contributing to drafting major grant proposals and/or leading in drafting small grant proposals;
• To develop and extend mathematical and economic models of contact-transmissible infectious diseases.
• To support ethics applications;
• To contribute to peer-reviewed publications and other outputs, including as lead author;
• To collaborate with modellers, economists, and epidemiologists at NUS and other institutions.
• Contribute to drafting grant proposals and co-authoring publications.
• To review the latest research on contact-transmissible infectious diseases regularly.
• To disseminate research findings through presentations at international conferences and meetings with key partners (e.g., WHO).
• To contribute to the broader research community through journal and grant reviews.
• To participate in mandatory NUS training and keep abreast of advancements in research methods.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Engineering, Economics, Pharmacy, Public Health, or Computer Science.
• Experience with quantitative research, preferably related to infectious disease modelling.
• Strong analytical and data management skills using electronic medical records, clinical trials, and observational data.
• Experience with statistical software (e.g., R) and programming languages (e.g., R, C/C++, Python).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.

The following knowledge and experience would be advantageous:
• Experience contributing to research grant applications.
• Experience with teaching and assessment (desirable but not essential).
• Experience with epidemiological modelling of infectious diseases (especially sexually transmitted diseases).
• Experience with data analysis using statistical inference techniques.
• Experience with health economic evaluations.
• Experience with parallel and/or high-performance computing.

The grade of appointment will be accorded based on candidate’s academic qualifications and years of relevant experience.
