1 Job description:

The candidate will have a background in laboratory management, scientific research and team leadership. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure that all daily laboratory functions are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.

The candidate will be fully responsible for managing laboratory staff, daily operation of the laboratory and maintaining laboratory equipment, to ensure a safe, efficient and orderly operation of the laboratory. 2 Key responsibilities:

1. Laboratory Safety, Health and Environmental Management:
   • Develop policies to ensure compliance with laboratory safety, environmental regulations and health management.

   • Responsible for the procurement, acceptance, installations as well as relevant financial budgets of laboratory equipment.
   • Maintaining lab equipment such as troubleshooting technical issues.
   • Planning regular maintenance and managing the usage to ensure effective use of the equipment.
4. Overseeing Daily Laboratory Functions:
   • Managing and providing support to laboratory staff.
   • Recruit and train new laboratory staff, address complaints and resolve conflicts to maintain a harmony working environment.
5. Organization Skills: Organize scientific, occupational health and safety-related training and workshops to improve the professionalism of the research team.

3 Job requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biochemistry, Chemistry or related fields, with more than 2 years of relevant working experience in laboratory management. Experience in laboratory construction and renovations will be prioritized.
2. Proven records in laboratory management and rich experience in project management.
3. Other qualification certificate of safety management, strong knowledge of management policies, laboratory safety regulations and environmental regulations with relevant certifications in Singapore is highly recommended.

• Receiving Goods:Unload and inspect incoming shipments to ensure they match purchase orders or delivery documents.
  Check items for damage or discrepancies, record received items in inventory systems, and report issues to supervisors.

Job Scope:
- Responsible to ensure twist locks are removed/fixed to the Container.
- Twist locks lashing gears, while using such equipment, work in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to standard operating procedures and complying to safety rules and regulations in the operational areas.

- Assist in water bunkering operations.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned
