Purpose: Responsible for the daily operations in the Warehouse and Shipping Department. This includes the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, from and to suppliers, internal departments, and customers. Thereto the Manager W&L has to manage staffing level based on workload, staff to be recruited and trained according to Company and warehouse processes.
Key Area of Responsibilities:
- Daily supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy, timely order fulfillment, and efficiency.
- Manage physical warehouse inventory based on ERP driven transactions.
- Coordinate and schedule workflows for order picking, packing, shipping, etc.
- Team supervising:
1. Recruit and train new staff wrt warehouse process, system usage, product handling and safety protocols
2. Lead, motivate, and manage warehouse staff to maintain performance, 5S and quality standards
3. Ensure staff adherence to company guidelines and safety regulations.
- Foster a culture of safety, accuracy, speed, efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Inventory accuracy:
1. Develop and maintain systems for tracking diverse inventory items with varying specifications.
2. Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to guarantee inventory accuracy.
3. Align with assigned Supply Chain / Logistics Engineer to analyze inventory trends and to identify areas for improvement.
1. Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve picking and storage efficiency
2. Introduce new ways of working by exploring market developments in warehousing techniques.
3. Implement Lean principles, 5S or other efficiency-improving methodologies.
- Develop and maintain procedures (SOPs) for handling diverse materials.
- Work closely other internal departments and external partners to guarantee a smooth operation.
- Implement and maintain relevant KPI such as delivery performance to clean room, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment cycle time etc.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely deliveries and shipments.
- Safety and Compliance:
1. Ensure the warehouse complies with health and safety regulations.
2. Conduct safety audits and implement procedures to minimize accidents and injuries.
Qualification & Experiences:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Management.
- At least 5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in a low volume, high mix environment.
- Strong understanding warehouse processes, including use of ERP / WMS systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complexity due to continuous variations in operational requirements.
- Effective communication skills with all organizational levels and external stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changes.
- Independent, self-starter, responsible, and a collaborative team player.
