As a member of the SE Asia team, you will support local and international projects across the transportation and energy sectors, including railways, highways, metros, marine, wind, hydro, and more.
You will be joined by hundreds of skilled experts, collaborating over the entire lifecycle of a project – from idea, concept and design, to operation and maintenance within our portfolio of tunnels & underground structures, bridges, complex structures, ground engineering and reclamation projects.
DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
In this position, you will join our global team of experts and structural sector of our business in Singapore. Your finest task in our team will be to run projects, develop client relationships and act as a support to our civil/structural team.
You will be accountable for leading and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians involved on a variety structural designs for ERSS, structural and civil engineering projects, liaising with clients and other stakeholders. You will be engaged in the project management of a project from feasibility through to detailed design and be the technical lead for the scheme.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the civil and structural design and analysis for either tender and/or detailed design.
- Ensuring that design, assessments and checking of designs are in accordance with the current Standards, Codes of Practice and Best Practice
- Review/checking/approval of designs, assessments and calculations in accordance with quality procedures
- Preparation of risk assessments and full compliance with DfS
- Coordination of work undertaken by external sub-contractors and design checkers and Client management
- Attending meetings and liaising with clients, authorities, and other stakeholders
- Being involved in internal technical and other activities and making contribution to the team development

Furthermore, you should:
- Have a clear career goal, positive work attitude and good at working as a team
- Hold a recognised Engineering degree by Professional Engineering Board (Singapore), preferably a registered Professional Engineer – PE(Civil).
- Have experience of working in a design environment in Singapore (mandatory)
- Have sound understanding of DfS Regulations, specifically the designer's requirements and the risk assessment process.
- Have experience in designing of underground MRT station (mandatory)
- Have experience in the civil engineering and underground construction sectors - both on site and in design office is preferred.
- Have ability to manage small projects and interface with other disciplines.
