Job Description

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.
• Possess basic Mechanical and Electronic engineering understanding.
• Ability to service and commission our range of machineries. (Training provided)
• Required language(s): English, Tamil, Melayu (in order to handle queries, request and feedbacks from English, Tamil and Melayu speaking counterparts in regards with the repair and other maintenance related matters.)
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Required Skill(s): Computer Hardware Installation, Software Installation, Software Configuration, Fabrication Camduct
• Preferably Non-Executive specialized in Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery) or equivalent.

Job Description & Requirements

1. Carry out daily inspection for facility plant equipment.
2. Carry out periodic maintenance of machines & ensure that all potential environmental impact associated with the machineries are minimized & mitigated.
3. Carry out schedule and preventive maintenance works.
4. Attend to breakdowns and assist in repair works, and escalate calls for vendor support if necessary.
5. Update and maintain records of plant equipment and machinery.
6. Upkeep the spare parts list and ensure purchases requisitions are made.

Competence Requirement

· Preferred to have NTC/ Diploma in Mechanical / Mechantronics / Electrical Engineering field.

• Fresh may be considered, but preferred with 1 – 2 years of related experiences in Maintenance of Equipments.

- Field service work / Workshop repairs: attend site and perform field work, ie. breakdowns, preventative maintenance, install and commissioning. Workshop tasks: dismantling, assembly, cleaning of parts and using of precision equipment and machinery and apply safety and health rules and taking into consideration the actual site conditions.

- Planning Coordinates: preparation and control of all material, equipment and documentation needed for site activities and organized them in accordance with contractual and supplement documentation

- Repair: Conducts detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and reports. Troubleshoots and repairs equipment and recommends changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

- Reporting: prepares all technical and work reports to be signed by customer representative

- Customer regulation: obtaining certain passes or attending classes for commencing of works.

* Nitec certificate or 2 to 5 years xperience working as turbochargers on marine vessels or mechanical fitter or diesel fitter

* Knowledge of turbocharging would be an advantagaeous

Responsibilities:

• Reviews the commissioning plans and processes to ensure they are in line with the project standards and that the commissioning scope is clear and well-defined
• Executes and supervises dealings per commissioning guidelines and deadlines
• Prepares and keeps up-to-date the pre-commissioning and commissioning execution plans (including the schedule and the mobilization of personnel and equipment)
• Manages the execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up
• Prepares the commissioning progress reports to the project management and the commissioning department
• Performs instrument calibration and troubleshooting
• Sets up and manages the commissioning and vendor teams
• Ensures incoming equipment meets the purchase specifications as well as arrangement for protection and maintenance of equipment and system
• Establishes a strong working relationship with various departments and plans, coordinates, and schedules the testing/ commissioning requirements with them as well as organising the logistics requirement of all operations
• Liaises with owners, class surveyors, and government bodies regarding project requirements
• Ensures all standard operating procedures, C&E, FMEA, etc. comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements
• Ensures timely completion of key milestones and project

Requirements:

• Degree in Instrumentation, or its equivalent from a recognized tertiary institute
• Min. 10 years of relevant working experience in FPSO/ FLNG conversion projects and comprehensive knowledge of the functionality of FPSO/ FLNG
• Possess working experience related to testing and calibration of FPSO/ FLNG instruments, DCS/ ICSS system knowledge, and networking
• Familiar with all the Vessel class regulations and codes
• Proven track record of hands-on working knowledge in FPSO/ FLNG conversion projects
• · Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• · Proactive, able to multi-task, and adaptable to a dynamic fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Extremely proficient with the testing procedures and knows the applicable rules and regulations of regulatory bodies very well

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to:

• Under the supervision of Senior Engineers, to perform initial engineering task on the mechanical services detailed design for building projects
• To prepare submission to authorities for approval of design
• To attend to project meeting with Client, PM and Consultants from other disciplines
• To attend site project meeting and site inspection and respond to technical queries
• Assist in coordination of quality assurance and commissioning of designs with other disciplines and other design consultants
• Handle client liaison and reporting
• Liaise with authorities on plans submission and compliance

Key Requirements

• Degree in a Mechanical Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore will be an advantage
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the design & supervision of building service projects (Those with 5 years’ experience and/or Certified Professional Engineers will be considered for a senior position).
• Experience in leading roles for design & design management of residential, commercial, institutional or hotel projects will be an advantage
• Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures
• Competent user of relevant engineering software, Building Information Modelling and Navisworks
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English
• Able to work independently & exercise initiative
• Excellent delegation and communication skills, which see you enlist the help of others to meet objectives
