Job Description:

A Japanese manufacturer is looking for a new Service Engineer who can develop their overseas business. Great atmosphere to learn not only professional skills and knowledge for engineering but also learning Japanese.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing whole engineering services and solutions (setup new machines, maintenances, after-sales service, and trainings how to operate their machines) with their clients in southeast Asian countries (Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines, and Vietnam, and Sri Lanka)
• Making quotations for mechanical parts of their machines which requires wide knowledge of their products
• Taking part in foreign exhibitions
• Involving some of internal and overseas business trips in a month
• Liaising with Japanese HQ and factories members for service review
• Other duties if assigned

Job Requirements:

• At least a Degree in Engineering (Electrical /Mechatronic/Factory Automation/Science) or equivalent background
• Ability to explain their products in a comprehensive fashion
• Integrity, curiosity, and self-motivated to become more knowledgeable for maintenance of the machines
• Hospitability and meticulous care for client’s satisfaction
• Good communication skills to establish good relationships with clients in southeast Asian countries
• Minimum conversational level of Japanese for communication with Japanese speaking stakeholders

Position Overview

The Electrical & Instrumentation Field Service Engineer (E&I FSE) will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial and offshore environments. Key Responsibilities

Installation and Commissioning

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Project Management and Coordination

• Supervise teams during project execution, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.

• Prepare and review technical documentation, such as QA/QC reports, verification dossiers, and completion certificates.
  

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure all activities comply with industry standards, including AS/NZS 2380/2381 and AS/NZS 60079.
• Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of zero harm within teams.

Requirements:

• Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum of 10 years in E&I field service roles, including experience with oil & gas, LNG, and mining projects.
• Proven track record in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment such as LM2500 and LM6000 gas turbines.
• Experience in offshore and remote site operations is an advantage.
