• Independently conduct key operational activities, for example, Installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of Edwards products to achieve >95% First time fix rate (FTFR), whilst ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Adherence to defined work processes, risk assessment and SOP is required to be strictly comply.
• Where required, select, accurately maintain, and appropriately use Edwards Product and Field Service Operational information. When required use Edwards processes, systems, and people network (inc Edwards Service management application system (SMA). When applicable use escalations (e.g., CMS), comms & reporting etc., to ensure a strong focus of customer satisfaction.
• Undertake Software setup, operation, maintenance and (basic) analytics. Conducts basic fault-finding and troubleshooting support to resolve or escalate issues within the agreed contractual timeframes and or Service level agreements (SLA’s) to meet customer expectations.
• Works alongside teammates - Demonstrates situational risk awareness for on the job SHE as well as providing strong support of teammates. Adheres to all relevant aspects of the risk control elements associated with all field service activities
• You will be expected to learn and develop your knowledge and skills as a Field service engineer. You will be expected to advance to more complexed product ranges after completion of applicable product training.
• Provides detailed and accurate feedback on field service activities and compiles clear and concise reports for submission to your line manager and/or technical support to enable informed decisions to be made to resolve product issues. Submit relevant SMA data after completion of activities to help support operational data collection.
• As part of your role, you will be expected to setup, operation and maintenance of software products and monitoring platforms on Edwards equipment.
• You will be expected to work with Edwards processes and operating platforms to accurately capture service-related information as determined by the scope of responsibility for creation of field service notifications and orders, through to the completion of work orders.
• Strong alignment with organisation expectations to deliver and achieve the targets.

This position will be responsible for providing quality repair and carrying out preventive maintenance service of etch / clean / deposition equipment at customer sites. Other activities include installation, relocation of customer equipment, performing associated start-up and check-out activities.

• Install and/or relocate equipment at customers’ sites. Conduct associated start-up, cut over and check-out activities on the newly installed systems
• Provide warranty tool support or paid service for out-of-warranty tool by performing on-site general preventive maintenance of equipment and attending to equipment abnormalities. Co-ordinate all service actions with customer to minimize downtime or system interruptions
• Apply troubleshooting techniques to eliminate equipment malfunctions. Conduct diagnostic procedures to isolate problem. Assess severity of malfunctions and determine corrective actions required or escalate for assistance and prompt resolution. When necessary, replace defective units, components or parts where appropriate
• Liaise and co-ordinate with customers in relation to short-term defect work
• Implement field modifications or updates as released in Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) which may involve removal and installation of assemblies, sub-assemblies, systems and subsystems
• Carry out Tier 2 process qualification work
• Prepare and maintain accurate logs, service records, part usage documentation, diagnostic updates and other management reports
• Professionally represent the company to the customer. Utilize knowledge of company’s product lines and services to keep existing / potential customers informed when new/additional needs are identified
• Develop good customer relations during installation and execution of service contracts
• Maintain company’s assigned equipment (computer, tool kit, diagnostic test equipment, spare parts etc) in good working condition, secure and accounted for
• Ensure safe working condition at work site
• Any other duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor

Job Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent
• Good communication and interpersonal relations skill
• Able to actively engage customers on technical solutions
• Able to work in Fab environment and perform shift & standby duties
• Must be able to wear personal protective clothing which comprises of air respirator equipment, clean room garments and safety shoes
• Willing to support short term, overseas assignment

Requirements:

• Able to interpret schematic diagrams
