Our client is a global MNC in Industrial Waste Management industry. They are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for the next phase of their business. They are located in West.

Duties Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor:

• Collaborate with the commissioning team to inspect, test, and repair equipment as needed.
• Support maintenance work planning and scheduling alongside the engineer.
• Assign and track individual tasks, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
• Maintain adequate inventory of tools, supplies, and parts for effective equipment repairs.
• Perform mechanical fitting tasks, including alignment, grinding and cutting.
• Servicing, repairing, and overhauling equipment such as pumps and blowers when required.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Min 3 - 5 years’ maintenance experience in similar industries such as Water Treament, Chemical and Oil & Gas

Safety – Goal: Zero Workplace & Passenger Injury

• Actively implement, drive, promote, monitor and manage safety in compliance with Schindler Corporate and Schindler Singapore directives and guidelines (Employee Safety & Product Safety) as well as employment legislation
• Ensure compliance with Incident reporting guidelines of any major Equipment failures, Product Safety Incidents and/or Near misses on site according to company procedures and legislation
• Ensure compliance in required quantity/quality of toolbox talks/safety walks/ safety inspections
• Manage the timely completion of Periodic Safety Inspections and any corrective actions to strictly ensure Schindler’s high product safety level

EI Volume Growth & Profitability – Goal: Meet yearly target

• Manage all business activities in the designated area within budget to ensure reliability, costs and profitability meet the yearly target. Work together with EI Service Contract Manager to

1. ensure the timely conversion of all equipment from Free Maintenance to paying portfolio
2. the successful renewal of Maintenance contracts with price increase where necessary to leverage increases in labour and material cost
3. Recover lost Maintenance contracts from the market

• Work together with Repair Sales Representative to Ensure all possible traditional and non-traditional repair and upgrade opportunities are advised to the customer, followed-up until successful sales and implementation
• Plan and optimize the staffing needs in the designated area, including route organization and workload allocation to continuously improve fulfilment effectivity and efficiency

Customer Satisfaction – Goal: Be preferred Elevator Service Provider

• Develop and maintain Relationship with Customers to understand their needs and expectations and solve any arising issues to ensure highest customer satisfaction
• Conduct periodic inspections to ensure fulfilment and customer satisfaction

Maintenance Fulfilment and Quality improvement: Improve MTBC & Portfolio Quality

• Actively drive systematic Breakdown reduction program in coordination with Technical Department and EI Technical Team to continuously improve Portfolio reliability and performance and improve maintenance efficiency
• Schedule & ensure correct and timely implementation of the required actions of FI / LPCA (Field Information / Logistic Pipeline Corrective Action) as per instruction from Head office

People Development – Goal: “Schindler technical skills best in the Industry”

• Actively drive the technical and non-technical development of Service team
• to ensure all work is conducted according to established procedures and work instructions to enlighten the customer
• Close gaps and develop competency of the service team.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Assistant Manager and provide courteous services to guests. Respond efficiently and tactfully to guests’ complaints, requests and inquiries.
• Provide courteous and efficient service, striving to fulfill each guests’ request whenever possible. Ensure all telephone calls are promptly handled within three rings.
• Handle cashiering functions and adhere to the residence’s Standard Policies & Procedure.
• Maintain good guest relations with in-house guests at all times, projecting a courteous and hospitable attitude.
• Be familiar with all room types and rates in the hotel, as well as their availability status and upsell whenever possible.
• Take ownership of problems and promptly handle guest complaints according to established procedures. Report to the supervisor for further follow-up when necessary and submit glitch reports as necessary.
• Ensure guest room security, emergency, and fire procedures are followed, and encourage the use of Safe Deposit boxes (El-Safe) while adhering to related policies & procedures.
• Acquire knowledge of hotel facilities, functions, major city attractions, and events to provide accurate information to guests upon request. Maintain a professional, courteous working relationship, and ensure effective communication with all hotel personnel.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and a tidy work area, upholding the highest standard of personal grooming.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Hospitality
• Able to perform rotating shifts
• Positive attitude and outgoing personality and good public relations skills
• Previous experience in hospitality and Opera knowledge will be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Assist all aspect of the front desk (including check-in/outs)
• Attend to guest’s enquiries, request and complaints in a timely and courteous manner
• Co-ordinate/liaise with other departments in all areas of operations: housekeeping, room service, maintenance, reservation.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level and above
• Relevant experience in similar capacity would be an advantage
• Team player, work independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
