Key Responsibilities

• Equipment set up for various systems, conduct testing & commissioning
• Install electronic systems including cabling and storage device
• Perform equipment troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance for the electronics system
• Project management and follow-up with clients
• Provide onsite support to diagnose and rectify technical issues

Responsibilities:

• Reviews the commissioning plans and processes to ensure they are in line with the project standards and that the commissioning scope is clear and well-defined
• Executes and supervises dealings per commissioning guidelines and deadlines
• Prepares and keeps up-to-date the pre-commissioning and commissioning execution plans (including the schedule and the mobilization of personnel and equipment)
• Manages the execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up
• Prepares the commissioning progress reports to the project management and the commissioning department
• Performs instrument calibration and troubleshooting
• Sets up and manages the commissioning and vendor teams
• Ensures incoming equipment meets the purchase specifications as well as arrangement for protection and maintenance of equipment and system
• Establishes a strong working relationship with various departments and plans, coordinates, and schedules the testing/ commissioning requirements with them as well as organising the logistics requirement of all operations
• Liaises with owners, class surveyors, and government bodies regarding project requirements
• Ensures all standard operating procedures, C&E, FMEA, etc. comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements
• Ensures timely completion of key milestones and project

Requirements:

• Degree in Instrumentation, or its equivalent from a recognized tertiary institute
• Min. 10 years of relevant working experience in FPSO/ FLNG conversion projects and comprehensive knowledge of the functionality of FPSO/ FLNG
• Possess working experience related to testing and calibration of FPSO/ FLNG instruments, DCS/ ICSS system knowledge, and networking
• Familiar with all the Vessel class regulations and codes
• Proven track record of hands-on working knowledge in FPSO/ FLNG conversion projects
• · Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• · Proactive, able to multi-task, and adaptable to a dynamic fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Extremely proficient with the testing procedures and knows the applicable rules and regulations of regulatory bodies very well

• Build relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors from other organizations.
• Carry out duties in accordance with company procedures and implement prescribed systems of work.
• Understand design philosophy/design fundamentals and communicate engineering solutions to project stakeholders.
• Perform engineering calculations with the aid of engineering software such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Full Hydraulic Calculation (FHC).
• Familiar with Architect, Structural/Service Engineers drawings/specifications.
• Carry out investigative and technical review works.
• Responsible for the development and production of drawings/calculations/specifications /reports.
• Set an example for placement of students and younger engineers.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to:

• Under the supervision of Senior Engineers, to perform initial engineering task on the mechanical services detailed design for building projects
• To prepare submission to authorities for approval of design
• To attend to project meeting with Client, PM and Consultants from other disciplines
• To attend site project meeting and site inspection and respond to technical queries
• Assist in coordination of quality assurance and commissioning of designs with other disciplines and other design consultants
• Handle client liaison and reporting
• Liaise with authorities on plans submission and compliance

Key Requirements

• Degree in a Mechanical Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore will be an advantage
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the design & supervision of building service projects (Those with 5 years’ experience and/or Certified Professional Engineers will be considered for a senior position).
• Experience in leading roles for design & design management of residential, commercial, institutional or hotel projects will be an advantage
• Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures
• Competent user of relevant engineering software, Building Information Modelling and Navisworks
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English
• Able to work independently & exercise initiative
• Excellent delegation and communication skills, which see you enlist the help of others to meet objectives
