Job Description:
The role of the position to oversees the planning and all project operations. The role managed the progress of the project and ensures quality and timely delivery.
- Lead, motivate, and oversee the Project and Maintenance Team to achieve project objectives.
- Manage overall project planning, cost control, and execution.
- Conduct site inspections prior to the commencement of work.
- Oversee project tendering processes and documentation.
- Prepare and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Interpret detailed drawings, construction plans, and fabrication methods.
- Develop and adhere to annual budgets, including maintenance expenses.
- Coordinate and manage multiple project schedules and budgets simultaneously.
- Collaborate with designers, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high-quality standards.
- Ensure all plans and documents are approved by landlords and local authorities before work begins.
- Supervise daily site progress, resolving coordination issues with contractors, vendors, and building facility management.
- Attend regular site meetings and conduct inspections.
- Provide status updates and take corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.
- Monitor contractor and vendor performance through regular inspections and quality checks.
- Ensure on-site work complies with local authority regulations and safety standards.
- Enforce site safety procedures and manage workplace risks.
- Verify and audit the quality of completed contractor and vendor work.
- Conduct progressive snagging and defect clearance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the Operations Team to ensure timely handover of projects.
- Manage post-construction issues with the Operations Team, consultants, contractors, vendors, and relevant authorities to ensure timely rectifications.
- Assist in developing and managing strategic plans and program initiatives to align with the company’s goals.
Job Requirement:
- NTC / Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, process engineering or related disciplines
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the food industrial sector, (e.g. foodcourt and coffeeshop project and reinstatement works)
- Proven record in managing and leading a Project/Maintenance Team.
- Possess Class 3 Driving License
- Good interpersonal skills with the attributes of a team player and a keen eye for details
- Motivated and results-oriented
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
