• We are seeking for service Engineers with hands-on mechanical expertise for commissioning, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of ship's propulsion systems.
• Well verse with broad range of engineering aspect such as mechanical, hydraulics, electronic control systems and industrial automation are involved
• Good understanding of automation and mechanical systems involved.
• Interest in shipbuilding and heavy machinery as well as in industrial control and automation technology is required.

Requirements

• Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering and adequate work experience with marine propulsion systems.
• Able to travel overseas and work at irregular work hours when required.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Possesses good communication skills

You are responsible for

MR portfolio

• Perform corrective maintenance, supported when necessary by tier-2 support helpdesk
• Demonstrate commitments to meet customer needs and requirements by ensuring all given quality standards
• Submit timely and accurate service data, job sheets, reports, expense claims, radiation film badges, field problem reports and other paperwork as assigned
• Be aware of customer needs and potential commercial leads (Philips Lifecycle Solutions – PLS) through customer visits and provide feedback and recommendations to the management, relevant people within the organization
• Support the District Customer Services & Operations Manager and the Customer Services Account Manager as appropriate with contract renewals etc.
• Use company property with care to ensure optimal results with minimal operational costs
• Keep abreast of new technologies likely to affect PH range of products
• Be a professional representative for PH with respect to customer problems, ensuring personal acceptability by the customer in appearance and behavior in accordance with PH policy and targets
• Accuracy of service records with particular attention to test & inspection results
• Adopting appropriate ESD control while servicing PH equipment
• Usage of appropriate electronic measurement equipment in calibration controlled cycle
• Responsible for reporting identified device safety issues according to applicable PH quality standard policy
• Responsible for reporting customer feedback according to applicable quality standard policy and follow up relevant assigned quality & regulatory training in a timely manner

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

• Diploma/Degree in Biomedical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years of working experience in service or engineering roles, preferably in the medical device industry
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct product delivery training for distributors and customers.
• Provide diagnosis guidance and analysis of fault found to Distributor / End-user, remotely via emails and/or calls.
• Carry out field services at sites in local and ASEAN countries.
• Furnish service report and recommendation of spare parts, assisting Parts team in locating correct spare parts from parts catalogue.
• Furnish Warranty claims and Quality report to drive quality improvement on our products.
