Position Overview:

The PCB Designer will spearhead the design and development of PCB’s. This pivotal role entails team leadership, ensuring projects align with quality benchmarks and deadlines.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in PCB design, with a proven track record of successfully designing and manufacturing complex PCBs.
• Experience with high-speed digital circuits, analog circuits, RF circuits, or power electronics is a plus.
• Strong experience with industry-standard PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence, Eagle, or similar).
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA) guidelines.

Skills:

• Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and routing techniques.
• Understanding of signal integrity, high-speed circuit design, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) mitigation.
• Experience with power distribution design, thermal management, and grounding techniques.
• Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes, including surface-mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components.
• Familiarity with component libraries, part creation, and footprint design.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

Hardware Design and Development:

• Lead the design, prototyping, and testing of hardware systems, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements.
• Architect hardware solutions, including schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection, ensuring the design is manufacturable and cost-effective.
• Ensure that designs are scalable and maintainable while meeting product performance, cost, and timeline goals.

Testing and Validation:

• Oversee the development of test plans and validation processes to ensure that hardware products meet specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that engineering designs meet project-specific requirements, adhere to Engineering Standard Practices, and align with the company's ISO procedures, as well as national and international engineering norms, codes, and safety standards.

The Institute of Operations Research and Analytics (IORA) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Research Engineer to support our research projects focused on the implementation and analysis of machine learning (ML) algorithms. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing coding expertise, data management, and analytical support to a range of projects in operations research and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Coding and Implementation: Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models to support IORA’s ongoing and new research projects.
• Data Analysis: Conduct data processing, exploration, and visualization, delivering insights that guide research conclusions.
• Model Evaluation: Collaborate with researchers to evaluate model performance, optimizing algorithms for robustness and efficiency.
• Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of code, data pipelines, and research findings to facilitate reproducibility and project continuity.

Requirements

Preferred Experience

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree preferable in Engineering.
• 5 years of supervisor and above.
• Preferably with 5 years of relevant working experience in oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of process safety and good business sense.
• HAZOP and PSSR facilitator.
