Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to develop and implement strategies to increase sales of our cutting-edge telecommunications products, including solutions and hardware products. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the telecommunications or hardware sector, a proven track record in sales, and access to key distribution or channel resources to expand our market reach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales and Market Expansion:
  • Drive new business opportunities by identifying, developing, and securing key accounts for our hardware and telecommunications products.
  • Cultivate relationships with distributors, resellers, partners, and direct clients to expand the company’s product distribution channels.
  • Create and execute strategies to increase sales revenue in line with company growth targets.
• Channel Development:
  • Leverage existing relationships and established channels to expand market reach.
  • Identify and develop new channels, partnerships, and sales opportunities, both locally and internationally.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the telecommunications and hardware sectors, including retailers, mobile operators, and third-party service providers.
• Product Knowledge and Consultation:
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, product developments, and competitor offerings in hardware and telecommunications technologies (specifically eSIM, mobile devices, and communication solutions).
  • Provide product training, technical support, and consultative selling to clients and partners to ensure successful product adoption and integration.
• Negotiation and Contract Management:
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners to close deals in a mutually beneficial way.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements during the negotiation and execution of contracts.
• Market Research and Reporting:
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential areas for product development.
  • Provide regular reports to management on sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, and business development strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales in the hardware, telecommunications, or related technology industries.
  • Strong sales background with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Established channel partner relationships and access to relevant distribution networks.
• Skills:
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications products, hardware solutions, and eSIM technologies.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities, develop strategies, and close deals independently.
  • Proficient in CRM tools and sales tracking systems.
• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• Other:
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to travel for business as required.

Meta is looking for an analytical thinker with experience in policy, law, human rights, government, business, or risk management for our Content Policy team in APAC. The team’s mission is to create and communicate rules for how our products may be used by people on Meta and its family of applications. This person will be responsible for regulatory compliance policy development, with a focus on APAC (including India).

Candidates must be able to apply complex, evolving frameworks to new and developing regulatory compliance issues and make difficult decisions under pressure. You will provide policy counsel to local public policy teams and leadership working to address regulatory takedown challenges.

You will be responsible for helping develop and refine our regulatory compliance policies, and managing escalations from those policies -- including by coordinating cross-functional responses to content decisions that take into consideration local regulatory compliance and international human rights obligations, product, operational considerations, and weigh up risk in order to provide effective policy advice to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and refine principles and policies related to regulatory compliance with takedown requests. Special focus on compliance policies and regulatory escalations from the APAC region, including operations and product advocacy.
• Manage regulatory escalations relating to freedom of expression.
• Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams, such as Public Policy, Human Rights Policy, Organic Content Policy, Communications, Trust & Safety and Legal.
• Act as an APAC escalation point of contact and manage internal communications for policy issues, including on-call rotations in timezone, with potential irregular hours.
• Produce and present internal communications for senior leadership to inform them of ongoing situations, and provide recommendations and decision support.
• Help articulate policy philosophy, launches, and changes to relevant parties, including management, operations, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with Meta's Public Policy team, as well as external stakeholders, to monitor the global environment for issues that affect content policy.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience working in tech policy, law, human rights, government, or risk management with an emphasis on platforms and technology
• Experience with Internet/social media content issues
• Demonstrates analytical-thinking and problem-solving skills and project management experience

• Flexibility to work outside of standard hours, during cases of escalations or critical operations.
