Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all plant equipment.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance.
• Participate in 5S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams.
• Assist in developing new equipment or plant expansion projects.
• Ensure contractor safety and oversee specific inspections or maintenance tasks.

• Perform mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance on plant utilities, facilities, and manufacturing equipment.
• Operate and maintain systems such as steam boilers, water treatment, HVAC, air compressors, chemical and gas systems, and fire protection systems.
• Assist in spare part management.
• Maintain effective communication between shifts for smooth work transition.
• Process permits, conduct job safety analysis, and manage Lock-out, Tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
• Review and contribute to maintenance documentation such as Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Report work progress to supervisors daily or as needed.
• Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders and checklists.
• Ensure contractors and third-party vendors execute maintenance tasks efficiently and adhere to safety regulations.
• Perform equipment or system testing, commissioning, and inspections to hand over to the operations team after maintenance or project completion.
• Participate in routine safety drills, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
• Serve as an on-call technician for emergency maintenance after working hours.
• Suggest and implement ideas for continuous improvement in maintenance procedures to optimize costs, processes, and safety standards.
• Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and ensure proper preservation in the store.

Overview

As a Maintenance Engineer (Senior / Assistant), you are responsible for maintaining and repairing the heavy machinery, plant equipment, tools and systems used in the manufacturing, engineering and other industrial production processes. You are to ensure that all machineries and equipment are in good working conditions as and when are needed.

Responsibilities

1. Manage, oversee and lead the Maintenance team to ensure minimum downtime of Facility, Machinery and Equipment.
2. Strategize on maintenance regime, maintenance supplies, work instruction and methods.
3. Create plant preventative maintenance procedures and schedules.
4. Conduct routine inspections and periodic maintenance checks on machines to keep them running smoothly.
5. Plan equipment upgrading and machinery modifications for improvement or prolong efficiency.
6. Plan, order, replenish, inventory keeping of machinery parts.
7. Analyze gaps to ensure programmes meets customers’ and company requirements.
8. Analyze breakdowns, diagnose faults and supervise time critical equipment repairs.
9. Offer technical expertise and necessary in-house training to Maintenance team, Operations team (i.e.: supervisor, foreman, fitters, technicians, etc.) and others.
10. Manage budget for current and future equipment upgrades, replacements and maintenances.
11. Resource, coach, mentor and motivate direct reports to create a high performing team.

Requirements

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in maintenance in an automation / equipment manufacturing environment. OR
2. Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or related / Professional Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in maintenance in an automation / equipment manufacturing environment.
3. Able to multi-task, work independently, proactive with positive attitude.

This role overseeing and handle company's facilities maintenance

and administrative duties

1. Handles proactive and preventative maintenance works to the building facilities/ system/ equipment (Example: telephone system, goods hoist lifts system, passenger lifts system, car lift, dumbwaiter, ACMV system, fire protection system, sanitary & plumbing system etc.). To ensure that all systems are in good functioning condition. If any repair or replacement are required, source for quotations and coordinate with the various stakeholders for the work to be carried out.

2. Make frequent trips to the various facilities within the Group to carry out routine inspection.

3. Contact and coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders / vendors on all the service maintenance, repair works and scheduling matters.

4. After completion by external vendor, conduct visual inspection to ensure that the works are carried out properly and satisfactorily.

5. Conduct bi-weekly night inspection to ensure the functionality of all the building signage and building security lighting.

6. Administrative duties such as preparation, verification & processing of Purchase Requisition/ Purchase Order and Invoices etc.

7. Updating of maintenance schedule and incurred expenditure reports.

8. Prepare annual building maintenance expenditure and budgetary reports.

9. Renewal of factory license, signage advertisement license, electrical installation license, subletting application, etc., and submission of new applications to relevant authorities whenever necessary.

10. To ensure that there is adequate stock for all toiletries and groceries supplies and place order if the stock is running low.

11. Prepare proposal to the management for any proposed improvement/ repair/ replacement work.

12. Assist in any ad hoc A&A/ upgrading/ improvement projects. Coordinate with the project consultants/ contractors and monitoring the project progress.

13. Review of drawings, building plans to ensure that the design specification complies to the owner’s requirement as well as to the statutory code of practice/regulation.

14. Quality control of work done by contractor to ensure that all works carried out are in accordance with the approved drawings, work scopes and technical specifications.

15. Any other suitable duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time

• Support assigned maintenance team to ensure aircraft projects are delivered.
• Inspect and examine aircraft components for leaks, cracks, breaks or other issues.
• Read and utilize blueprints, maintenance manuals, ATA codes, illustrated parts catalogues,service bulletins and other maintenance documents to troubleshoot and complete work assignments.
• Maintain, repair, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts such as wings and fuselage, rigging, hydraulic units, oxygen systems, fuel systems, gaskets, and seals.
• Perform routine maintenance operations, such as the replacement of equipment’s and aircraft components.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to inform installation, development or operation activities.
• Perform hourly, daily and monthly inspections to check for cracks, oil leaks, burned areas, foreign object damage, warping, distortions, missing segments and wear
• Complete all tasks in the allotted time frame and to the quality standards of our company, our customers and the FAA.
• Promote safety within the workplace by monitoring others and yourself to guarantee all tasks are performed within the safety manual guidelines, and communicate with other mechanics and supervisors to coordinate repairs and keep apprised of safety concerns
• Order supplies, equipment, materials and parts for repairs and general maintenance
• Keep detailed records of the inspections performed, repairs finished, maintenance procedures and ordered parts.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years practical, hands-on experience with Gulfstream G650
• Mechanical / technical knowledge within aviation
• Demonstrated understanding of aviation regulatory and safety requirements performing aircraft maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand Aircraft Maintenance Manuals
• Diploma/ Foundation Degree in Aircraft Engineering
• PC literate with MS packages.
