Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regular maintenance regime for electric vehicle (EV) charging points in accordance with TR 25 requirements.
• Manage a small team of technicians to perform routine checks and monitoring of EV charging points in accordance with Preventive Maintenance regime.
• Manage and liaise with maintenance contractor or charger OEM to ensure 6-monthly/ annual and ad-hoc maintenance and repair activities are carried out expeditiously and in accordance with TR25 a well as any other pre-determined standards.

• Oversee call centre enquiries, monitor call centre performance KPIs and work closely with call centre operator to ensure KPIs are met.
• Work with call centre operator to ensure FAQs are updated and relevant based on typical enquiries received.
• Oversee engagements with site owners on monthly invoices (e.g. electricity reimbursements, monthly fee), electricity accounts and meters.
• Develop reporting formats on EV charging point operation, e.g. utilisation rates, repair / maintenance logs, for submission to government agencies and / or site owners.
• Improve Volt’s technological and operational capabilities – ranging from project management of EV Charging app improvement works to integrating of new technologies into Volt’s operations (e.g. lot hogging measures and dynamic load balancing).
• Such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor / the head of department from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Possess at least a Degree in Electrical Engineering with 1 year of experience
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 3 years of relevant experience in facility management, Project management, site operations or any other related experience

About The Role

What We Need From You

Meranti Power Pte. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is establishing a maintenance team to maintain two open cycle gas turbines of our power generation station.

We are inviting applicants for the positions of Technical Officer (Electrical) who shall report to the Senior Engineer/ Engineer/ (Electrical Maintenance) and be responsible for supporting him in the maintenance of Electrical systems of the power station/plants. The Technical Officer shall support Electrical team in the following:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for proper maintenance of gas turbine, generator and auxiliary systems as assigned by Head or Engineers in-charge
• Perform troubleshooting, predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure plant equipment and systems run smoothly and efficiently
• Identify, plan and initiate required actions to maintain the power plants for long term reliability and efficient generation output
• Prepare technical specifications for equipment services, contract labour and ad-hoc maintenance services. Supervise and report performance of contractors to ensure good quality and progress of maintenance works, as well as full compliance with contract specifications
• Liaise, supervise, and coordinate with contractors and vendors on projects, maintenance, repair, shut down, and overhaul works
• Support operation and maintenance engineers in investigation, analyse and determine the root cause of plant defects and outages
• Maintain and control all records as required
• Assist in the preparation, certification and review of all management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001, ISO 50001 annually and provide support to the auditing parties wherever necessary, including internal & external auditors, to rectify non compliances and/or to follow up on improvement items identified during audit
• Support engineers in managing maintenance contracts and inspections, testing and commissioning of new equipment
• Monitor ad-hoc plant projects/tasks to ensure on time delivery
• Perform work orders allocated by Department Heads and/or Engineers

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
• 5 years’ experience in machine repair and maintenance
• Have training with Quality Management and its related Quality Procedures is an advantage
• Knowledge to repair and maintain machines e.g. CNC Turning, Milling, Honing, Drilling is an advantage.

3. Perform Engine Rigging and De-rigging, Engine Functional and Performance Testing, Troubleshooting

Required Experience and Qualifications:

1. Minimum NITEC in engineering discipline. Mechanical & Aerospace disciplines will be preferred
2. Past MRO or Aviation experience would be an advantage
3. Past experience with Engine Testing would be an advantage
