MRTA - Maintenance Reliability Turn Around is about understanding and maintaining our equipment as effectively and efficiently as possible, making sure it performs as intended. The Maintenance discipline covers the development of Maintenance strategies and the planning, coordination, and execution of Maintenance activities.
What’s the role?
The MRTA is currently looking for two (2) distinct individuals who can ensure safety, defect free and efficient operations through the regular upkeep of equipment and tools in the most cost efficient and timely manner.
1) Mechanical Preventive Maintenance Planner
This role is responsible for the planning of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Proactive Maintenance activities including any other 3rd party assets maintained by Shell Jurong Island (SJI).
As a Maintenance Preventive Mechanical Planner, you will perform the following:
- Develop and execute gap closure plans as part of AMS (MEC & ME)
- Custodian of SJI 52 weeks look ahead plans for Preventive Maintenance (PM planner) schedule.
- Carry out advanced planning for Preventive Maintenance Activities for 52 weeks plan.
- Coordinate with Field Execution Engineers to work out a long-term maintenance strategy for SJI in collaboration with Engineering, Technology and Operations.
- Coordinate and engage Operations, Maintenance, Subject Matter Experts (SME) of RCM, IPF, WIMs, ESP to ensure all maintenance plan are prioritized and challenged.
- Trigger the deferral process and ensure all deferrals are managed and executed timely. Custodian of PM deferral document records. Trigger periodic PM plan reviews with Production & SME and recommend necessary actions to continuously improve SJI PM execution performance.
- Conduct yearly budget planning & cost estimation.
- Plan, track and cost accuracy and provide inputs to improve contract strategy.
- Ensure PM plan are scheduled accordingly and executed before their due dates. Accountable to ensure no overdue of all RCM, IPF and WIMs/RBI related PM works.
- Contribute and participate actively in site reliability improvements. Provide feedback on effectiveness of preventive maintenance generated from AMS ME processes (RCM, IPF, WIMs, etc).
2) Mechanical Corrective Maintenance Planner
As a Mechanical Corrective Mechanical Maintenance (CM) Planner, you will provide reactive planning for CM activities in Shell Jurong Island (SJI). i.e., developing efficient work plans (tasks, sequences, parts/materials, craft/manpower and resources) for corrective maintenance plans in.
As a Mechanical Corrective Maintenance Planner, you will perform the following:
- Coordinate and engage Operations/ Operation Maintenance Coordinator (OMCs) to ensure all job request are clear and concise and maintenance work orders are prioritized and challenged.
- Assist in budget planning based on past years cost trending. Plan, track, and cost accuracy, and
- provide inputs to improve contract strategy.
- Ensure CM plans are scheduled accordingly and executed before their due dates. Accountable to ensure no overdue of all CM works. This will include the necessary materials and services (resource) procurement and availability.
- Contribute and participate actively in site reliability improvements. Provide feedback on
- effectiveness of corrective maintenance.
Moreover, being part of the MRTA, you will also perform the following responsibilities:
- Compliance to HSSE standards and requirements to make SJI a safe place to work, and accountable for all assigned Critical activities.
- Perform Authorized Applicant/Authorized Engineer as per SJI ePermit to Work (ePTW) requirement.
- Drive high standard of personal accountability & performance to deliver the Site & Department goals and target.
- To ensure SJI’s assets operate safely & reliably, without suffering any process safety incident or causing life-changing events to person(s), the staff is accountable to ensure compliance to those Critical Activities assigned for the Job Position.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure Asset Management System – Maintenance Execution (AMS[1]ME) work processes are executed as designed and are delivering results, e.g. ensure compliance with AMS-ME, Global-M and other Shell Group business objectives.
- Carry out site checks & planning of work orders end to end process, by breaking down all relevant maintenance activities into logical tasks with resources, parts/material, craft/manpower and sequences for optimal work execution. Tasking of planned work orders to the relevant engineers/contractors for execution.
- Be responsible for material procurement and availability prior to execution of all PM works
- Create and maintain library of plans for HSE, preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Ensure that library plans contain reasonably accurate information on cost, materials, services labor and other resource requirements.
- Actively monitor the actual work execution in terms of cost, resource, schedule (craft hours), sequence and update the equipment library plans accordingly. Accountable for ensuring that preventive maintenance compliance and timely closure of work orders.
- Initiate HSE plans/JHA for the planned work orders to ensure safe execution of work.
- Participate and support ISO/HSSE-MS audits, as well as other related external audits, as part of Company’s HSSE Control framework and management system.
- Identify waste elimination and LEAN maintenance opportunities for maintenance, and work with relevant key stakeholders to implement gap closure plans.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in compliance with the global maintenance and business processes.
- Carry out any other related duties as required.
What we need from you
We hope to see as many of the following in your profile:
- Degree/Diploma or equivalent, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years relevant field experience as plant engineer or equivalent. Preferably with Mechanical Engineering background.
- Relevant knowledge in: HSE Performance Management, Risk Management, Plant Operations,
- Reliability & Integrity, Process Technology, Change Management, Cost/Budget, Maintenance & Integrity Activity Schedule, RCA, Causal Learning, Defect Elimination.
- A demonstrated background in championing Customer Focus, coaching and developing the team, building a shared vision
