- Ensure that all building systems (ACMV, electrical, plumbing & sanitary, security, cleaning, pest control, landscape etc.) are operating effectively.
- Supervise scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks for equipment and infrastructure.
- Work with external service providers to ensure service quality and compliance with contracts.
- Assist in identifying issues, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion of repairs.
- Ensure the facility complies with local building codes, fire safety regulations, and other applicable laws.
- Support the client in creating and managing the annual facility budget.
- Monitor and report on facility-related expenditures to ensure costs are kept within budget.
- Assist in purchasing materials, tools, and services required for the maintenance and operation of the facility.
- Help maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing workplace safety standards and regulations.
- Ensure the facility complies with sustainability practices, such as waste management and energy conservation.
- Provide leadership and direction to janitorial, maintenance, and security personnel.
- Ensure proper management of facility supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Track and update records for all facility assets and equipment to ensure they are functioning and well-maintained.
- Ensure that emergency response plans are in place and that employees are aware of emergency protocols.
- Lead the team in generating regular reports on facility operations, maintenance activities, and financial status.
- Keep accurate documentation on maintenance work, vendor contracts, safety inspections, and compliance audits.
- Support in managing situations such as power outages, plumbing failures, or other facility emergencies.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma in Facilities Management/ Electrical engineering/ Mechanical engineering or equivalent with min. of 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with vendors, staff, and management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
- Familiarity with facility management software (e.g., CMMS systems).
- Budgeting and financial management skills.
- FSM and CFME accredited will be an advantage
