Responsibilities:
โข Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on various kitchen machinery and equipment, including ovens, mixers, refrigerators, and freezers.
โข Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing disruptions to kitchen operations.
โข Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs, and parts utilized.
โข Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to proactively identify potential equipment issues and implement preventative measures.
โข Analyze equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements to optimize kitchen efficiency and productivity.
โข Stay abreast of advancements in machine maintenance techniques and technologies to ensure best practices are implemented.
โข Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
โข Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure spare parts and obtain technical assistance when necessary.
Qualifications:
โข Higher NITEC/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification preferred.
โข Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine maintenance, ideally within a commercial kitchen or food production setting.
โข Thorough understanding of various kitchen equipment, their components, and operational principles.
โข Proven ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and technical issues effectively.
โข Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
โข Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
โข Basic computer proficiency for maintaining accurate records and effectively communicating with stakeholders.
โข Working knowledge of occupational health and safety standards related to machine maintenance. Language Requirements:
โข Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) languages is essential for effective communication with team members, suppliers, and documentation purposes.
