General Overview

This position is part of the site Mechanical team that provides technical/maintenance support to the Operation and Project teams in LNG Terminal. He/she would be mainly responsible for overseeing the safe and reliable operations and maintenance of the Terminal assets from the Mechanical discipline perspective.

The incumbent shall oversee the maintenance of static and rotating equipment at the LNG Terminal. These include high pressure pumps, compressors, vessels, piping, valves, mechanical loading arms and structural elements; support the development and the upkeep of maintenance programme with advice from the Mechanical Engineer and to ensure that service records and logs are properly updated and maintenance activities are safe and efficient with minimal disruption to production.

• Supervise the in-house contractor and equipment vendor to execute mechanical work/improvements within the terminal to ensure safe work execution and not affecting terminal gas supply reliability
• Develop and update maintenance plan and schedule for relevant facilities and procedures with inputs from other teams to minimise production disruptions and redundant work.
• Perform the review and analysis of operating equipment and facilities to identify anomalies, propose improvement and mediations to extend equipment lifespan and reduce maintenance cost.
• Review maintenance plans for compliance with Company's engineering standards and practices to ensure such standards and practices are aligned to legislative guidelines and industrial standards.
• Prepare PM Checklists, MSRAs as required.
• Responsible for the achievement of Maintenance KPIs, information sharing and coaching of technicians including their training plan and technical advice.
• Responsible for manpower planning and management including overtime planning, system entry and emergency activations.
• Support Spare Parts and Warehouse activities such as stock count, critical spare review, spare order review/purchase /replenish and SPIR list.
• Provide scope of work, PR and evaluation for maintenance service contract/technical work outsourcing.
• Budget forecasting, monitoring and management of approved budget.
• Participate in emergency response procedures and be assigned to any specific roles and responsibilities for such purpose.

Work Experience

• Minimum 8 years' experience in mechanical and maintenance function, preferably in oil/petrochemical or related industries
• Conversant with local codes, regulations and standards, equipment inspection and schedule requirements. Certified in API, vibration and other analysis standards will be well regarded
• Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in an oil and gas installation is critical to success.
• Practical experience in repair and maintenance of sophisticated static and rotating equipment, reciprocating compressors and engines, piping and valves is essential.

Education

1. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

The main role of this position is to conduct periodic preventive maintenance to minimize the occurrence of faults and malfunctions as well as breakdown maintenance to equipment and facilities

- Daily inspection of physical facilities and equipment to ensure

- Assists to upkeep a list of spare parts

- Puts up requisition to replace faulty parts on facilities

- Trouble-shoots electrical/ technical problems and able to perform electrical repair and maintenance as required

- Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors

- Ensures contractor/vendor adhere to KTS’s safety rule and policy.

- Performs administrative tasks as assigned such as submission of incidence reports, updating of facilities records, etc.

- Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs

- Any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

- Minimum Nitec or equivalent certificate in Building, Facilities Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

- Minimum 1 or 2 years of relevant working experience in a factory environment/Electrical work

- Able to work independently without supervision

- Demonstrated problem solving skill

- Good interpersonal skills, strong technical background with analytical mind

- Proficient in MS Office
