Building Technician
Working Days: 6 days
Working Timing: Shift, based on duty roster
Working Location: Islandwide, based on project available or mobile team
Starting Salary: $2000 to $2500 + OT

Responsibilities & Duties

• Coordinate and assist in the daily operation of the M&E services, such as carrying out all planned maintenance schedules and periodic inspection, and up-keep of the common area.
• To perform weekly checks on the estate’s M&E system, including minor troubleshooting on failure of systems.
• To carry out minor troubleshooting on any failure on the M&E systems.
• To maintain a proper stock control for all mechanical/electrical accessories and materials purchase.
• To respond to ad-hoc complaints received from the Management office from time to time.
• To respond and attend to all emergency calls, and for reinforcement of manpower during minor breakdown of M&E equipment within the estate’s common area.
• To ensure that service contractors conduct the servicing properly and in accordance with the service contract.
• To follow external contractors that are at site to carry out routine servicing.
• To attend to any other job function on M&E related issues that may be assigned from time to time.
• To carry out minor items of repair, such as repair of fixtures/fittings and touch up painting.

Job Descriptions:

• Carry out rectification and troubleshooting of plant and auxiliary equipment as assigned.
• Carry out routine checks and testing of plant equipment based on job requests in accordance with good maintenance practice.
• Do hands on planned maintenance such as but not limited to greasing and cleaning of equipment and machinery.
• Record details of maintenance and repairs works carried out.
• Maintain proper housekeeping as well as tidiness of the workplace.

Requirements:

• Minimum NITEC in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering or higher .
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in operation or manufacturing environment
• Good hands on experiences in rotation equipment repair such as pumps & agitators is an advantage
• Have initiative, good communication skills and able to take responsibility.
• Working knowledge of the principles and mechanics of plant equipment is essential
• Possess a basic welding skill will be an added advantages

· Collaborate with the engineering team to improve system designs.

· Adhere to safety and regulatory standards while on-site.

Working hours: Mon-Fri, 08:00 - 17:30 (OT Eligible)

Requirements

· ITE or equivalent level qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field

· 2-3 years of experience working with industrial equipment, ideally dust collectors.

· A good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

· Ability to read technical drawings.

· Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

· Great communication skills and a customer-first attitude.

· Willingness to travel to client sites.
