Chemical Technician

Working Hours: 3 to 4 days per week .12 hour rotating shift (8am to 8pm )

Work location: Jurong (Transport provided at Jurong East
Salary: $1700 - $2600 (Basic) + $725 shift allowance + $200 site allowance

The Chemical Technician is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the operations of the process units and equipment by measuring, recording and controlling process operating parameters.

He/She is also expected to diagnose and rectify systems and components’ faults in accordance to established procedures and specifications and to ensure that the process units and equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform minor maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation & Servicing: Perform maintenance and repair of water heaters, including instant and storage heaters.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate building maintenance project works.
• Plan and discuss with sub-contractors on project execution including implementation.
• Manage and supervise project works as well as oversee all workers, sub-contractors and vendors to ensure proper work execution and good workmanship.
• Execute project works based on the drawing / specification.
• Resolve any Clients and / or residents’ complaints / feedbacks.
• Liaise and co-ordinate with Clients, Consultants and Vendors on all project matters.
• Attend site meetings.
• Track work progress and submit progress report so as to ensure that the projects are executed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate the project work to ensure successful completion as well as hand over to the Clients.
• Maintain all the documentation for the projects.

Job Requirements

(A) Education, Qualifications & Special Training :

• Degree or Diploma in Building / Certificate in Civil & Structural Engineering or related field.

(B) Knowledge & Skills :

• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• PC literate and knowledge in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project)
• Positive and good working attitude, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• A good team player and willing to be stationed at the site office.
• Possess a Singapore Class 3 driving license.

2. Relevant experience in electrical installation, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and electrical maintenance preferred.
3. Good technical knowledge with hands-on experience in troubleshooting & servicing HVAC equipment eg chillers, cooling towers, aircon, air compressors etc
4. Experience in simple welding, piping work, and simple machining work.
5. Must be willing to wear jumpsuit and mask as Personal Protective Equipment while working in the production area.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in the maintenance of mechanical or electrical installations and equipment within the compound.
2. Provide engineering support to all depts if required
3. Diagnose and repair faulty equipment, perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment breakdown.
4. Carry out instrumentation calibration activities.
5. In charge of maintenance and troubleshooting of entire facility duties.
6. Involve in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities.
