Main missions:
The Commissioning Instrumentation Superintendent executes the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities onshore and offshore, in line with the Project Completions Execution schedule, ensuring Group procedure compliance and target levels for Quality are achieved within the Completions schedule, whilst maintaining the highest level of HSSE.
In order to issue the commissioning deliverables whilst maintaining target levels for Quality and the highest level of HSSE, you are to:
- Contribute to the development of all Completions documentation and database population
- Develop with Project Planning Engineer pre-commissioning and commissioning sub-systems schedules
- Ensure project personnel are familiar to SBM completions processes and that roles and responsibilities are understood and complied with.
- Positively drive Commissionning Team to ensure that project commissioning deliverables are issued
- Liaise with Supply Chain for Commssioning spares and Operation Test Procedures (OTP) inputs
- Coordinate the attendance of Completion Personel to Vendor permises for V-ITR and FAT attendance
- Consolidate Outstanding Work List (OWL) from Supply Chain
The measure of your effectiveness will be:
- Commissionning deliverables issued on time
- Successful FAT with minimal OWL
In order to execute the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities you are to:
- Attend daily Permit to Work meetings to coordinate completions activities
- Ensure the logic of the Pre-commissioning and Commissioning is aligned to the project schedule
- Follow and implement the commissioning execution as per established Project priorities.
- Implement and control vendor call out (VCO) in alignment with the integrated project schedule
- Consolidate and progress the commissioning equipment and Commissioning Spares lists in alignment with the integrated project schedule
- Control field changes to the red line mark ups and feed back into completions system for the project As-built drawing scope.
The measure of your effectiveness will be:
- Issuance of Daily Meeting Report held with Project teams and Yard teams / Client
- Alignment of Commissioning Progress Trackers with project schedule
- Timely Vendor Call aligned to the specific project commissioning Ramp up plan
In order to have an effective handover with Clients you are to:
- Assist the Completions Manager to produce Subsystem handover (SSHO) schedule
- Work closely with Clients to ensure all systems are handed over in line with OTPs
- Be the Project Resident Engineer during the anchorage and offshore phase, working in close liaison and communication with Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) and/or Client
The measure of your effectiveness will be:
- Completions dossiers are issued and accepted in line with the project schedule
- Effective lines of communication with Client to facilitate the start-up process
Job requirements
School/studies/degree:
Engineering discipline degree
Experience:
15 years experience, preferably some gained under project conditions.
Good knowledge of engineering and systems technology in a project environment.
Extensive knowledge of Process Control Narrative (PCS) and Process Safety System (PSS).
Widespread knowledge of Cause & Effect (C&E) testing.
Knowledgeable in Safety Integrity Level (SIL) testing.
CompEx qualified.
Experience in commissioning Permit-to-work (PTW) preparation & Notice of Energization (NOE).
Ability to write technical documents and operational test procedures (OTPs).
Knowledgeable in sub-system boundary limits & marked-up engineering drawings.
Experience in attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for large rotating equipment and ICSS hardware.
