Your new role

Here is a summary of the role you are applying for;

Join their Control & Instrumentation team as a key player in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of their power plant's control systems and instrumentation.

Below are some of the key responsibilities for the role;

• Lead the execution of maintenance work, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
• Respond to plant failures and forced outages, ensuring timely rectification and restoration
• Plan and execute plant overhaul activities with a focus on safety and timeliness
• Develop and implement modification and upgrading plans to enhance system reliability and availability
• Manage procurement and maintenance needs, including spare parts and external services
• Lead and develop a team of technical officers and technicians
• Demonstrate expertise in Control and Instrumentation, safety, and statutory requirements
• Showcase strong work ethics, analytical skills, and communication abilities
• Be available for emergency calls and participate in CERT team responses

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate, should have;

• Degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Sound knowledge of Control and Instrumentation
• Good working knowledge of safety and statutory requirements
• Strong work ethics and team player mentality
• Analytical, technology, and communication skills
• Availability for standby and emergency calls
• Knowledge of cyber security (advantageous)
• Safety mindset and good workplace safety behavior

• Location: Tuas Avenue
• Working Days: 5 days (Mon-Fri)
• Working hours : 7:30am to 5:15pm
• Salary Range: $3k - 4k

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the machines and company equipments operational performance and condition
• Conduct preventive maintenance to machine and company equipments as per schedule
• Review and update all existing machine maintenance documents
• Prepare and design the spare parts for machines and company equipments
• Report any unsafe conditions and practices to Production Manager
• Assist of production and purchasing department of manufacturing / purchasing spare parts
• Monitor spare parts stock level and raising purchase order
• Managing, delegating and training the maintenance group
• Involve in the implementation and continuous maintenance of HSE Management System
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Production Manager

Accountable

• Meeting department quality objectives
• Ensure maximized machine uptime
• Ensure planned preventive maintenance is carried out effectively to minimize machine down time
• Ensure sustainable continuous improvement initiatives are carried out on machine, equipment and facilities

Requirements:

Skill Requirements

• Knowledge of precision machining machineries, equipment and facilities
• Knowledge of repair and maintenance on machineries and equipment
• Knowledge of Environment, Health & Safety

Education, Experience & Training

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
• 5 years experiences in machine repair and maintenance

Training Requirements

• Quality Management and its related Quality Procedures
