We are seeking an experienced Aircon Technician (ACMV, VRV) to join our team at SINHI ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) and variable refrigerant volume (VRV) systems.

Job description

• Carry out installation, servicing, and repair of ACMV and VRV systems

• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in ACMV and VRV systems

• Perform regular preventive maintenance for air conditioning systems, including replacing faulty components.

• Conduct routine inspections of the building to identify and address maintenance needs.

• Ensure all work complies with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Perform troubleshooting and recommend effective corrective solutions.

• Continuously improve work processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years' experience as an Aircon Technician, specialising in ACMV and VRV systems

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare generating unit activities to come on stream in accordance with real time dispatch schedule.
• Respond appropriately to system defects, and rectify problems as required.
• Carry out all Plant operating activities, including isolation, in line with operational guidelines.
• Carry out all routine Plant tests and periodic auxiliary equipment changeover in accordance with approved procedures and schedules.

• Investigate plant abnormalities, and take corrective course of action during shift (plant trips, unit de-ration, occurrence of fire etc.)

• Carry out first-level maintenance as required.
• Carry out routine GT fuel changeover and equipment changeover without affecting the plant operation.
• Assist shift engineer in analyzing the problem encountered and find solution/procedure/practices to avoid the repetition.
• Monitor performance and maintain optimum unit efficient during operations.

Key Responsibilities:

EV System Diagnosis and Repair: Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of electric vehicle systems, including high-voltage components, battery management systems, power electronics, and charging systems.

Identify and rectify electrical and mechanical issues using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
Conduct repairs on electric drive units, battery packs, inverters, and other EV-specific components.

Vehicle Maintenance and Service: Perform routine maintenance and servicing on electric and hybrid vehicles, including brake system inspections, fluid checks, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
Conduct battery health assessments and maintenance procedures as per manufacturer guidelines.
Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with EV service procedures.

High-Voltage System Handling: Safely handle high-voltage components and systems, following established safety protocols and procedures.
Perform high-voltage system disconnections and reconnections for repairs and maintenance.
Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety precautions when working with high-voltage systems.

Software Updates and Calibration: Perform software updates, recalibrations, and programming of EV systems using manufacturer-approved tools and software.
Ensure all software updates are applied accurately and in compliance with specifications.

Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of repairs, diagnostics, parts used, and service performed.
Generate comprehensive reports on vehicle condition, repairs, and recommended maintenance.

Training and Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology and attend relevant training programs to enhance skills.
Participate in ongoing training provided by to stay current with EV system developments.

Performs any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisors.

Requirement:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Demonstrate experiences working with electric and hybrid vehicles, is preferable.
• ITE NTC 3/2, Nitec or equivalent; formal technical trained in automotive technology or EV is preferred.
• Certification as an Electric Vehicle Technician or equivalent, such as Electric/Hybrid Vehicle certification.
• Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, high-voltage safety protocols, and vehicle networks.
