JOB SCOPE SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced 6G welder to join our team and work on welding and repairing ISO tankers. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding and repair tasks on ISO tankers, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to industry standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Welding and Repair:

• Perform welding and repair tasks on ISO tankers using shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), or gas metal arc welding (GMAW) processes.
•  Weld pipes in various positions, including horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
•  Conduct quality inspections of welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.

2. Read the technical drawings and know the welding symbols:

• Interpret and understand welding symbols and blueprints to determine welding requirements.

3. Safety:

• Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Identify and address any safety concerns related to welding and repair tasks.

4. Equipment Maintenance:

• Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.

5. Documentation:

• Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used, hours worked, and any repairs completed.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Proven experience as a 6G welder, with a focus on welding and repairing ISO tankers.

2. Certification in relevant welding techniques.

3. Excellent knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and safety procedures.

4. Ability to read the technical drawings and welding symbols.

5. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.

6. Ability to work in various environments and conditions.

7. Able and fit to work in confined space.

Job duty:

· HT switchboard & HV transformer installation.

· Hands on for installation of the 22KV HV switchboard, GIS,AIS power and LV equipment.

· Assemble and repair high voltage power transformers.

· Lead a team to replace bushing / gasket / valve / o-ring / radiator and other spare parts for oil leakage.

• At least 3 Year hands-on working experience in the related field is required for this position

• Carry out preventive maintenance and corrective repair works on packaging and conveying equipment
• Troubleshoot and rectify electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic system faults on equipment
• Attend to breakdown repair and recovery of operational equipment
• Reduce equipment downtime and enhance equipment performance through quality maintenance works
• Proper recording of works carried out on equipment
• Carry out and rectify facilities related matter.

Requirements:

• Possess Diploma, NITEC, NTC-2 or ITC Mechatronic Engineering is preferred
• Equipment knowledge - Bagging /packaging/conveyor system
• General knowledge on ac drives and electrical motors, pneumatic cylinders and roller/chain conveyors
• Basic knowledge of PLC and electrical system
• Min. 3 years' relevant experience in Facilities Management/Facilities Technician
• Must be prepared to work on a 12-hour rotating shift
• Experience in Bagging line would be advantage
