Our client is a well established Healthcare & Laboratory Equipment company. They are currently looking for a QC Laboratory Technician to join their expanding team.

Salary: Basic $3,000 + Shift, Meal & Transport Allowances $600++
Work Days: 5 Days (10:45pm to 7:30am)
Work Location: Boon Lay (near Boon Lay MRT Station)
Work Terms: Full-Time Permanent

Responsibilities:
• Ensure all laboratory tests are well managed and performed including testing on raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
• Ensure all laboratory instruments and equipment are maintained and calibrated.
• Manage the inventory of quality reference materials such as QC reagents and lab consumables.
• Prepare daily QC report, relevant work instructions and validation protocol or reports.
• Ensure documents and quality records are maintained for easy retrieval.
• Manage operations towards timely support to meet factory analytical request.
• Develop training to build quality and safety awareness.
• To maintain cleanliness of laboratory and glassware.
• Handle administration work of factory when required.

Requirements:
• Min Nitec / Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent
• 1 to 2 years experience in handling wet chemistry and laboratory management
• No colour blindness and willing to stand while doing lab work
• Strong troubleshooting skills with various analytical instruments
• Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive working attitude with sense of urgency
• Able to work independently as well as an effective team player
• Must be able to perform permanent night shift, and day shift during training

You will be working alongside and be supported by a multi-disciplinary team that includes specialists and referral clinicians in Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery, Anaesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Neurology and Critical Care. Equipment in our renovated facilities includes digital radiography, ultrasound, echocardiography, C-arm, CT scan, MRI in house, rigid and flexible endoscopy, dedicated ICU and advanced monitoring and in-house laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Be the extra eyes, ears and hands for the veterinarian to ensure the best quality pet care and to maximize the veterinarian’s productivity.
• Lead communications with veterinarians and veterinary medical team to maintain the flow of pets.
• Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times. This includes performing procedures that do not require veterinarian assistance, completing preparatory work for other procedures, ensuring that clients and pets are comfortable in the hospital, and monitoring hospitalized or surgical pets.
• Obtain relevant information and history from clients to maintain proper and complete medical charts.
• Ensure the safety of pets, clients and associates by utilizing safe restraining techniques, following standard protocols while maintaining clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, exams rooms and labs.
• Educate clients about preventive care, pet health needs, any diagnosis or treatment, hospital services and other related matters.
• Assist with surgery as applicable.
• Utilize technical skills within mandated regulations regarding duties of credential veterinary technicians.

• Degree, Diploma or certification (American/ Australian) in veterinary technology/ nursing relevant studies.
• Registration with professional veterinary associations (American/ Australian/ British/ Canadian).
• Minimal 5 years of work experience in anesthesia/ cardiology/ internal medicine/ oncology /radiology/ ECC.
• 3 years prior team management experience.

Job Summary

· Samples collection and chemical adjustments on the plating tanks.

· Perform plating tanks maintenance.

· Management of Chemical wastes disposal and receiving chemicals.

Roles and Responsibilities

(Essential roles, responsibilities and activities a candidate can expect to assume in this position)

· Collect of chemical samples for lab analysis.

· Adjust plating baths by chemical additions.

· Make-up new plating solutions.

· Perform monthly maintenance of filter cartridges change and carry out scheduled treatment.

· Liaise with licensed waste collector on the wastes disposal.

· Receive of incoming chemicals, and updating the chemical inventory log book.

· Support CORE, EH&S, Ethics & Compliance and Quality initiatives.

· Carry-out plating on test specimens for Monthly Periodic Testings.

· Perform other activities assigned by direct Supervisor.

Qualification and Education Requirements (Education and Work experience that a candidate should have when applying for position)

Minimum Education required (specific field or equivalent):

NITEC in Chemical Technology.

Minimum years of experience in role:

No relevant experience required but positive attitude in taking on the role is a must.

Preferred Skills (if any):

· Basic command in written and spoken English.

· Knowledge of Microsoft office Applications.

· Able to work on rotating shifts.

· Basic knowledge of Chemical Handling & Safety.
