The Data Center Operation technician has overall responsibility to support the troubleshooting and

coordinating activities pertaining to the day-to-day support of the data centers and critical facilities. He/She is responsible for troubleshooting, managing the vendors/contractors and report to the Data Center Operation Site Lead.

• Lead a team of contractors or vendors and support in the daily data centre operations

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Accurately uses aids and work instructions to make decisions about the proper production flow based on product type or services.
• Prepares materials according to documented procedures using standard lab equipment and maintains accurate and detailed product, process, instrument, and training records.
• Performs lab cleaning and decontamination protocols in accordance to work instructions and maintenance connection software, as well as maintains electronic records of tasks to ensure that work is performed in an accurate, efficient, and appropriate manner.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Minimum N/O level, Nitec in a Science related field or equivalent by relevant experience.
• Proficient computer skills which include knowledge of the internet, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Previous laboratory and chemical handling experience. (Preferred)
• Basic knowledge in manufacturing practices.

· Ensure the team adhere to Quality and Safety standards. Conduct periodically quality walks, safety walks and safety inspections. Coach team on safety behaviour, and be a role model.

· Lead and develop a team of maintenance and call back technicians: train, assess, optimise the resources.

· Perform the yellow belt technical assessment for the EI technicians and guide green and red belters to be prepared for their assessment

· Coordinate subcontractor works and audit their work quality standards.

· Carry out feasibility study, health checks and standardisation project for lifts and escalators according to customers’ requests, industrial trend and code of practice requirement.

· Provide technical support for internal staff from Service, Project, Sales and Sales Engineering Department.

· Coordinate with factory and/ or suppliers and contractors to implement new systems or repair existing ones on Schindler equipment, per customers’ requests.

· Coordinate and monitor corrective action programs, non-conformance, field feedback and field information.

· Support in the preparation of reporting for internal or external usage.

· Carry out ad-hoc assignments, such as, conduct training, attend customer meetings, etc.

· Lead in daily operations like maintenance scheduling and call back resources.

· Liaise with customers on their complaints and take the lead in follow up actions.

· Coordinate, monitor, execute actions on operation problems and lift technical problems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The candidate shall supervise and review the design of the electrical team by checking specifications, schedules, datasheets, drawings, and 3D models to ensure quality, safety, and technical standards are adhered to.
• The candidate shall have experience gained by delivering projects across the complete project lifecycle, from front-end engineering design (FEED) through detailed design, technical assurance, testing and commissioning, and final handover.
• The candidate shall review clients, design engineers and/or third-party design and information to determine suitability and liaise with those concerned to obtain further information if necessary.
• The candidate produces design layouts which are cost effective, meet the requirements of the specification and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively. • The candidate shall have excellent knowledge ICA design (instrumentation, PLC and SCADA systems), motor control systems, system architecture, fieldbus/communication networks, P&ID’s, ATEX installation practice, functional safety, development of control specifications (URS/FDS), schedules and system requirements within process/industrial environment.
• The candidate shall have excellent proficiency in designing within appropriate digital analysis packages, following applicable standards, working practices and national guidance.
• The candidate shall ensure that standard practices are utilised wherever possible.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Candidate shall have about 8 years of experience in Instrumentation, Control, & Automation design works, preferably with contractor experience.
• Experience working on water and sewage treatment projects will be an advantage.
• Experience in monitoring members of staff in designing relevant discipline aspects of water and sewage treatment plants will be an advantage.
• Ability to rationalize designs and produce economic plant layouts.
• Ability to present technical proposals clearly, confidently and convincingly.
• Able to work independently in producing the project deliverables to meet the project timeline.
• A flexible mind with the ability to assimilate large amounts of different data at one time.
• Proficient in written and oral communication with good interpersonal skills.
