Ship Repair Supervisor

• Location: Penjuru lane ( Transport provided at Jurong East)
• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Salary: $2,700 - $3,500

Job Responsibilities:

• To fulfil ship repair jobs afloat or shipyard
• Carrying out maintenance, service and repair of all mechanical equipment (Diesel Engines, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, alternators, hydraulic system, deck machinery etc) on board all vessels as assigned.
• Troubleshooting all the mechanical equipment on board vessels.
• Jobs involved engine equipment removal, reinstallation, servicing, repair and reconditioning, commissioning activity.
• Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and cleanliness in the workshop.
• Managing team and delivering ship / shipyard schedule required.
• Carrying out any retrofit job for new equipment installation on board vessels.
• VSCC meeting, permit to work system, and trade certificates are required
• Managing of workforce and job, writing job completion report, submitting cost evaluation, liaise with owners representative, and always have to follow company SOP.
• Any other duties as assigned by ship repair manager and management.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Certificate in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years relevant working experience.
• Able to read drawings and write service reports.

7. Hygiene and Safety: Enforcing strict hygiene and safety standards in the workplace, including cleanliness and food handling procedures.
8. Reporting: Preparing reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and staff productivity for management review.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and execute the scheduled, routine, PM & CM maintenance activities within schedule and cost and OEM improvement program and in compliance with regulatory and company's standards and requirements.
• Good knowledge and experience of I&C equipment maintenance and troubleshooting of ALSPA DCS control system, Field Instruments such as transmitters & gauges, electronic cards etc.
• Plan and carry out inspections as per daily maintenance schedule; attend defects, breakdowns, including the repairing and calibration of Instrumentation and Controls Equipment..
• Inspect plant instruments/equipment/condition as per SOP and report to Team Lead.
• Conduct troubleshoot/ fault diagnosis/ failure analysis to determine cause of failure and report to Team Lead.
• Develop Risk Assessment and mitigation measures for every Maintenance job in the plant
• Apply for Permit to Work (PTW) as the Competent Person (CP) for every Maintenance work in the plant.
• Supervise contractors and liaise with other maintenance crafts and operations technicians to execute maintenance activities
• Withdraw and prepare spares from warehouse for job execution.
• Maintain strategic and inventory spares in the warehouse to ensure sufficient maintenance spares are available.
• Prepare daily updates on Maintenance activities for the day to all stakeholders (operations)
• Successful candidate can be appointed as part of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) (training will be provided)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Preferably minimum 3 years of experience in relevant Maintenance fields in a Power Plant or Petrochemical Industry

Job Requirements:

• Possess minimum Higher Nitec and/or Diploma in Electronics and/or Electrical Engineering or relevant field with 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Possess IT software installation and configuration skills will be an added advantage
