• Fluent in (speaking/reading/writing) English is required.

About The Role

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Product Management who will be responsible for leading the regional product managers in Asia Pacific to meet the financial and strategic objectives of the Plastic Additives business. This position is also responsible for regional product management of the Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers (HALS) product line. The role will focus on developing and continuously improving common business processes and rules used in Asia Pacific and harmonize both with global business functions.

How You Will Do It

Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional product management team, fostering a culture of accountability, entrepreneurship, and continuous improvement.
• Member of EVP regional Business Leadership Team and first escalation point for Regional Product Managers.

Strategy
• Develop and implement regional product strategies that align with the overall business goals and market needs.

Financial performance
• Establish financial targets for product lines together with global product management and monitor performance against these targets, ensuring accountability across teams.

Market intelligence and supply network optimization
• Oversee market research and competitive analysis to identify and address market trends, customer needs, and potential opportunities and threats.
• Drive third party sourcing from suppliers, tollers and co-producers in alignment with relevant stakeholders. Responsible for regional demand/supply balancing and volume allocations in case of shortages.

Portfolio management
• Optimize product portfolio, manage business continuity and ensure product compliance with regulatory requirements across Asia. Decide product specification, drive resolution of quality issues and approve raw material suppliers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovation that meets the strategic and financial targets of the business. Responsible for regional business cases for new product developments and making recommendations to start/continue/stop product developments.

Collaboration
• Work closely with global product management, sales, marketing, supply chain, operations, procurement, controlling, quality management and product stewardship & regulatory teams to ensure cohesive strategies that support financial and strategic objectives.

What We Look For

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in chemistry, engineering or business-related field
• Minimum 5 years business experience within both upstream and downstream chemical industry, ideally across various functions such as marketing, sales, product management, R&D, production, controlling

Job Scope

• Assist the Fleet vessels with day-to-day maintenance management of electrical/electronic/electro-hydraulic or electro-pneumatic/ automation systems.
• Reviewing the fleet planned maintenance schedule of electrical/electronic/electro-hydraulic or electro-pneumatic/ automation systems / power generation / backup power source / fire detection system and submit to technical manager.
• Assist to guide onboard engineers on the task which require electrical engineers’ competencies so that they could operate and maintain electrical/electronic/electro-hydraulic/electro-pneumatic/automation systems efficiently.
• Willingness to attend & assist fleet vessels to manage electrical / electronic / electro-hydraulic/electro-pneumatic/ automation equipment failures and carry out fault diagnosis with the aim to resolve the issue.
• Advise the Technical Superintendent for the need of shore assistance or need to procure spares in case defects of equipment failures which cannot be resolved thru onboard attendance.
• Carry out on board attendance in liaison with the Technical Superintendents.
• Provide weekly work done report and submit to technical manager on the fleet vessels attended.
• Identify areas for improvements and modifications on electro/automation system and make methodical recommendations for efficient operation of the vessel.
• Contribute to improved learning and efficient experience transfer by working across the fleets.
• Advise Technical Superintendent for matters related to defects input & electrical repair specification for dry docking planning.
• Assist to provide input to Technical Superintendent for incident investigations on electrical matters.
• Actively participate and engage in the process for the continuous improvement of departmental procedures.

Requirements

• Experience working onboard sea going vessels as ETO (Electrical-Technical Officers) in compliance to STCW Standard of competencies for a minimum period of 2 years.

• Added advantage with good academic qualification in tertiary education in Electrical, electronic, or electrical engineering technology.
• Possess good knowledge of electrical power distribution, maintenance, and practical hands-on skill.
• Proficient in troubleshooting & fault diagnosis skills related to electrical, instrumentation, automation & control and including air conditioning and ventilation system.
• Familiar with regulatory and legislative shipping industry environment.
