JOB SUMMARY
- Group Resilience is responsible for driving and delivering the Banks resilience capabilities spanning operational resilience, operational continuity in resolution, technology resilience, business continuity management and crisis management across the Bank.
- We partner with our businesses and across both lines of defence to define and manage the Banks most important business services (IBS), enabling product and segment CEOs to set impact tolerances thresholds for those services and ensures the operational assets which support them are built, maintained and changed in BAU with resilient service in mind and that the Bank can continue to provide those services during crisis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Develop, refine and track the long-term strategic goals across Group Resilience.
- Develop and embed operating model for Group Resilience.
- Create and execute business plans including location strategy, workforce strategy.
Business
- Provide management support to the Group Resilience Management Team.
- Manage team engagement activities and support the general inclusiveness within Group Resilience.
Processes
- Manage the daily operations of Group Resilience, including financials and headcount.
People & Talent
- Manage team engagement activities and support the general inclusiveness within Group Resilience.
- Identify key talent and foster a culture of growth. Help the organisation to onboard and retain key identified talent.
- Build a community for growth along with other PCL across geographies and faster a culture of learning and excellence.
- Lead by example and build the appropriate culture in line with the Bank’s values. Set appropriate expectations from supporting team members.
Risk Management
- Act quickly and decisively when any risk and/or control weakness becomes apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and, if necessary, escalate through.
Governance
- Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
- Deliver ‘effective governance; capability to challenge colleagues effectively; and willingness to work in an open and cooperative manner with all.
- Drive the Functions and Talent communication agenda to ensure people are kept up to date with developments and improvements across the function, focusing on an integrated vs product led approach, spotting opportunities for co-creation and embedding ways to listen to feedback as well as provide updates.

Our Ideal Candidate
- 10 years’ experience in a corporate environment preferably in financial institution or consulting
- Impeccable written and spoken communications skills
- Able to conceptualise concepts and ideas into a presentation
- Customer focused, people oriented
- A bachelors degree in a related field
- Ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at appropriate level
- Strong self-manager who can scope, plan and deliver their work
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple assignments
