Responsibilities:

• Involved in the installation, configuration and management of VMware private cloud computing platform
• Install new components into production environment as laid out by Virtualization Engineering Team(s)
• Make configuration amendments into the existing production plant
• Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language appropriate to both executive and managerial audiences.
• Ability to effectively manage relationships with other implementation teams, application teams, stakeholders, business and customer representatives.

Requirements:

• 5-7+ years of previous experience Implementing / Architecting & virtualization experience, across multiple vendor and technologies.
• In-depth understanding of Cloud, Server, Storage, and Virtualization architecture design techniques, theories, principles, and practices.
• Solid experience in implementing enterprise Cloud, Virtualization, Server and Storage systems within a broad spectrum of technologies.
• Excellent Knowledge of Private, Public and Hybrid Cloud environments
• Excellent Knowledge of Cloud Orchestration platforms
• Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, in HA/DR type configurations.
• Excellent knowledge of Sever hardware platforms: x86
• VMWARE Cloud, Virtualization, Server and Storage vendor Certifications Preferred.
• Strong knowledge & working experience of VMWare modules such as ESXi, vSphere, vSAN, vRA, VRO, VROPs, vRLI, NSX-T, Horizon View
• Strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, DAS, RAID, SCSI, Fibre Channel, Backup to Disk, clustering, encryption technologies from multiple vendors.
• Strong proficiency in PowerShell, Shell scripting / Python / Ansible development

HE Programme Delivery:
Lead and administer the support systems and delivery operations. Ensure that the Learning Management System is set up in accordance to procedures and take corrective actions to remedy deviation from standards.

Operation Coordination with Partners and Head of Programmes/Academics:
Maintain good relations with partners on data transfer, review of operational concerns, resolve pertinent issues and suggest improvements. Communicate timely updates and changes to key stakeholders including students and staff. Organise events to host partner visits and facilitate interaction with students, depending on the needs, may require to engage in Mandarin.

Lecturer Management:
Liaise with the academic staff to confirm the deployment of qualified lecturers. Ensure quality teaching is provided to students.

Process Innovation:
Spearhead digitalisation and automation initiatives for the department.

Budgeting and Resource Allocation:
Ensure accuracy in budgeting.

Class Scheduling and Assessment Management:
Work with internal departments on class scheduling and assessment management plans.

Marketing and Recruitment:
Engage and support colleagues in Student Recruitment Group (SMR) with marketing and recruitment efforts. Ensure that all marketing collaterals and website are updated.

People Management:
Deploy and supervise work teams to achieve their goals.

Programme Review:
Follow through changes (system setup, etc) for Programme reviews (internal and external).

Regional market experience is added advantage

Perform other duties assigned by the Department Director

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of working experience

· Familiar with the higher education industry will be an advantage

· Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

· Team player with good leadership skills and able to work through people

· Resourceful, self-driven, independent, and confident

· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

· Adaptive to change, able to work under pressure and committed to meeting deadlines
