What you'll be doing
You will collaborate closely with developers, UX designers, content designers, business owners, and quality assurance team to make sure the content DBS customers see on our apps is up to date and translated. This is a great role for anyone interested in learning about digital product design and development.

Here's how your week might look like
Your day-to-day work will be supporting various country product teams—onboarding signed-off UX design screens to our translation management tool and checking in with translators to make sure work is on track.

We don't expect you to be a writer or a translator yourself. If you can read Simplified and Traditional Chinese, that's great! But not absolutely necessary.
To keep up with the various projects you are supporting, you will attend sprint planning meetings and retrospectives.

Sometimes, there will be bugs. Not the flying, itchy kind, but the kind that causes apps to malfunction. When those bugs are related to content our users see, you will work with the team to get them sorted out.

Don't worry, you don't need to be a developer. This is not a technical role. It's about project management. What matters is that you are cool with learning to use new tools and interested in digital product development and UX design.

Digital products don't stand still. What was good yesterday is not good enough today. So we constantly keep improving our apps. Part of that is to update the content our customers see, and we need your help with that. You will project manage the content update release process to make sure stuff goes out on time and as it was intended!

Here are the experience and skills we'd love you to have
This role is not the common garden variety kind. It is a new kind of role, so we are open to people from different backgrounds and experiences.
What matters is that you are interested in UX design and digital product development.
Experience working with developers and UX designers will come in handy.

Bonus points
You can read Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
You know what Figma, Github, Lokalise and agile development are.
You know basic HTML coding.

Banquet

• Ensure all banquet functions are setup and in progress according to event organizers’ requirements as well as perform staff supervision and allocation of work assignments during banquet/ event functions.
• Work closely with necessary departments to ensure that event organizers’ request are communicated for necessary actions.
• Address queries and resolve any irregularities that happen during the event/ banquet functions, extend wholehearted friendliness to guests and ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
• Seek opportunities to enhance the banquet/ event experience of our guests with personalized touches.
• Maintain accurate inventory and proper maintenance of all banquet operating equipment.

Carousel, Buffet Restaurant

• Assist in the daily operations of the buffet restaurant, including setup, service, and breakdown.
• Learn and apply food safety and hygiene standards to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Support the management team in monitoring food quality, presentation, and replenishment throughout service.
• Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and delivery of food items to the buffet.
• Train in inventory management, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste.
• Participate in staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations under the guidance of the restaurant manager.
• Learn and implement cost control measures to optimize profitability.
• Assist in marketing and promotional activities to drive guest attendance and satisfaction.
• Develop problem-solving and leadership skills to prepare for a future management role within the restaurant.

Minimum 1 year experience in similar capacity is required.

Individual should be able to work independently in a fast paced environment, willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays in a 5-day work week

• Work Location : Orchard (Wisma Atria)
• Salary: Basic $2600 (Probation) & 2600-2800 (Confirmation) + No Comm
• Working Hours : 5 days (2 full shift & 3 normal shift)

The F&B Ambassador will be responsible for assisting in the restaurant operations to ensure that the guest experience, beverage quality and departmental revenue and profit goals meet its highest standard. He or she will report directly to the Restaurant Manager.

• Greet and guide customers to their tables and assist them in seating
• Manage a waiting list and seating chart
• Print special occasion menu and set up table accordingly
• Check table arrangement before and during service, ensuring table requests are met whenever possible
• Check on guests regularly to ensure their satisfaction and promptly resolve any issues or concerns.
• Coordinate with bartenders to serve beverages and ensure that alcoholic beverages are served responsibly and in compliance with legal requirements.
• Assist with general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing workstations and dining areas.
• Monitor and restock supplies as needed, such as napkins, straws, and condiments.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to address any issues or special requests from guests.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
